No, I would not recommend this to a friend
I have worn Rock Port shoes for over 15 years at work and have been very happy. I wore out my Consuls and could not find them to reorder, so tried these. They are very comfortable and professional, but the toe box is almost a full inch too long and look strange. I also do not care for the square look. I will return these for the Margin style, which I did not see during my original search under "dress" - I found them under "oxford".
