These are not brown. They're a burgundy crocodile finish with a brown trim strip across the top of the arch.
I wear a 13 B. A "narrow" shoe size is usually too wide. This fit perfectly. Still breaking them in, so not sure about comfort - a little on the stiff side yet. But they feel very good overall, and I expect them to be great in a few more days.
I was looking for a good "business casual" shoe for work. These are fine, but the alligator finish makes them a little more on the dressy side. They'd be fine for an evening out at an upscale restaurant, a dinner party, or Sunday at church. My other pair for work is a plain black loafer with tassels, not quite as formal.
Lives up to the Florsheim reputation for quality and style. I recommend them.
