No, I would not recommend this to a friend
I bought 2 pairs...one for my mom and one for me. When I tried them on they were very large and loose. Also, the heel, although comfortable, was designed in such a way to give the shoe a tipsy feel to them. NOT a good heel for my mom who needs stable shoes.
Nice looking shoe, just didn't cut it for this comfy shoe wearer.
Comfort is primary!

It took a little time to get used to the heel, but after wearing them for a couple days it was fine. The shoes were great for moving quickly through airports and not getting your feet tired!
