This shoe is comfortable for about 4 hours. This is 3 1/2 hours longer than most heels- but definitely not an all day shoe. Also, the top strap fits more loosely than the lower two straps. I can fit a finger under the top strap- and I don't have narrow feet. Overall, I am happy with the shoe.

The sole of this shoe has stitching just below your toes and it is very uncomfortable- I tried to put a pad on it but then, the straps were too tight. The last strap at the top of the shoe (not near the toes) is too loose and actually, the shoe would be more attactive without it. A disappointment for alot of money.
I was having heel problems, even while wearing shoes that were supposed to be comfortable. I bought and wore my first pair of Danskos, and my heel problem disappeared. Now I plan to replace most of my shoes with Danskos. As a friend told me, "Life is too short to wear bad shoes!"

I had to return my first pair becasue they came too small. I bought the same size as my last Danskos, so I think these sandals must run a tad small. [...]
I love the look of these shoes. They were great when I took out of the box to try on. although they run small. After I wore them for a few hours, the straps across the top cut into my foot leaving lines on top of it. The leather has a hard edge. I tried stretched them a little, it eased but them my foot started sliding forward. I'm going to try to get an insert to stop the sliiping.

These shoes are very comfortable, however, although Onlineshoes.com size assessment is taken directly from the Dansko website, the size is not true to form. They actually run about a half size small. So while the website says a 39 is a US size 8.5 to 9, a 39 is really a US size 8 to 8.5. I generally wear a size 8.5 to 9 and a 39 was too small. However, a size 40 fit perfectly. Order your size accordingly.

These shoes came out of the box perfectly comfortable! No pinching, no feet sliding, and no "adjustment period." They are nice enough to wear to go out, but also comfortable enough to wear while standing all day. Since I am a teacher, my comfort is primary, but style is a very close second.

Fabulous shoe. I have it in black and bronze. Good support, pretty, feminine and comfortable. Love it!!!!
