I love these shoes. I own them in 3 different colors. I get lots of compliments on them whenever I wear them. They are great for the problem feet, which I tend to have! They are very flattering! I recommend them highly.
I ordered a 38 because that is the size I wear in the clogs, but it was way too big in this shoe. I was REALLY sad because I loved the way it looked!! [...]
These are so comfy! I have 3 pairs of the mary jane style danskos...and couldn't imagine anything being more comfy than those...but these are! Less wiggle room and nice look.
I have suffered for years with foot problems. Dansko clogs have really helped!
I have kind of wide feet and these shoes are very slimming to my feet. They're made very well.
Just like the Dansko Professional these shoes have very good arch support and are great for my wide feet but they just feel too heavy for my feet when I walk causing some pain on the top middle part of my feet. If not for the weight I would have kept these shoes but I just have to return them. Sorry!
My daughter-in-law is a teacher. This was not the shoe she had asked for but she absolutely loved it. Can go a little dressier than the plain leather as well as being worn for school. Looked great with skirts as well as slacks. She said she would definitely buy this shoe again.
This is my first pair of Dansko shoes. As I have wide feet, I had been looking for a stylish, casual shoe that would fit comfortably. They are great. The color is just what I was looking for.
Great shoes for everyday wear, either casual or professional. While finishing clinical rotations, I was on my feet a lot, and these shoes kept me comfortable all day. One warning--make absolutely sure you buy the correct size. I bought a size too small (incorrect advice from an in-store sales person) in my first pair of Dansko clogs, and they were uncomfortable. Once I corrected the size (I wear 6.5-7, so I buy 37), the shoes were perfect. I hate taking them off at the end of the day.
Great product. Would only wear these kind of shoes.
If you are a working person who must do a lot of standing and/or walking, you will stay comfortable in these shoes. Walking in Dansko Madrigal is nearly as natural as "barefootin" it. These shoes give a smooth and quiet stride like moccasins in a forest, no unpleasant clicking of heels on hard office floors.
My suggestion would be to have this shoe be even more professionally styled, but still retain it's comfort. These shoes are comfortable, but they don't inspire compliments from coworkers. With respect to sizing, the heel area is a little big, but it does provide ample room for the toes and a quiet, comfortable stride, and that's great.
I love Danskos. Have the Professionals in olive and a limited-run woven-front denim color. I also have the Dansko Peytons which I wear at least twice a week and, sadly, seem to be discontinued. My summer stand-by sandals are Dansko Lolitas. So, be warned--this review is from a Dansko zealot. That said, I'm picky about my shoes and expect quality and comfort for my $$$.
My fifth Danskos were these Madrigals. I liked the look of a slightly more dressy Mary Jane style. It took a little getting used to; they fit almost like the Professional--same roomy toe box, and the sizing was true--but they fit lower across the instep than the Professional. I have a very high arch and instep and it makes finding comfortable shoes a bit of a challenge. Now that I'm used to the feel, I could wear these Madrigals forever. I have them in brown suede and would order them again in a minute if I could get them in navy or red. They are my cutest, most comfy pair of Danskos yet, and I recommend them highly.
I just ordered the Dansko Marni in black and am excited to try another style. Can't wait to get them!
If you've ever been a fan of the dansko professional, then this is a great next shoe. I've always loved my professional shoe - wider than normal toeboxes prevent toe chafing, the built in rocker provides arch support, and the shoe lasts for years with everyday wear.
As much as I love the professional though, it's not the most stylish shoe. Then I found the madrigal, which has all the features and comfort of the professional, and it adds cute with it's mary jane style. I can wear it to work or out on a date. It's great!
I hear a lot of people complain about the sizing of dansko shoes. Just be sure you know your european size. If not, go to a store and try on a dansko to be sure. The web sites don't always get the translation of US to Euro sizes correct. But if you know your true european size, this shoe fits exactly true to size.
My of my co-workers have and love this shoe but I found it too bulky and uncomfortable
Dansko is a good and comfortable brand
I love these shoes - they are cute with skirts and pants - suede and stitching makes them a little dressier than the Dansko Professional - which is also a great shoe. I don't wear anything but Danskos and Keen.
Love the shoes and the style, but the color was not the same in person as it was in the picture so they didn't go with the outfits I wanted to wear them with
