These are great boots and I really like them. They are just a little difficult for me to get on, but its not really a problem. The calves are a little big on me, but I am a pretty small person so I was expecting that. Overall, I am extremely happy with these boots.
I really hoped these boots would fit my needs for a comfortable, stable but somewhat attractive boot to wear to work. It is really very plain looking and tight around the ankle. I have 15" calves, and these are ok, but on the snug side. Couldn't wear with jeans tucked in. They are a bit stiff with the lining. I will be returning. May fit your needs if you want a simple leather boot that has a comfortable foot bed, and may break in at ankles, i guess.

These boots are adorable, but the calf area is huge. I have athletic and muscular legs, but I was swimming in the boots--about 3 inches of excess material. I was sorry to have to return them, because they felt so comfortable when I tried them on.
Felt comfortable in the foot/sole area. Cute boots for commuting, office and weekends. I usually take an 8.5 or 9 and I ordered a 9 then needed to exchange for 8.5; seems to run a bit big. Find the leather a little stiff; my guess due to the weatherproofing. A good comfortable office/weekend boot that you can actually walk in and wear around town and still look trendy.

Great looking boots to wear with a skirt and over the knee socks. Very comfortable, true to size and snug fitting throughout.

This is my first pair of zip up knee high boots and I love them. I'm not a high-heel kind of girl, but I wanted a boot that wasn't flat and was stylish enough to wear out and comfortable. These Merrells are a great pick. I have thicker calves and these boots fit well because of the stretchy side panels. They have loosened up with wear as well. They are super warm and waterproof!

These were an exchange for a pair of Merrells that simply made my size 10 feet look . . . like size 10 feet. The height of these balances that problem much better. I'm on my feet much of the day, and walk a lot, so the support these offer is great.

These boots are the best-looking basic winter boots I've ever owned. They perform pretty well in the snow, but are cute enough that I'll wear them on not-snowy days. They're warm, but still okay on warmer days (I've worn them in 55F-degree weather without discomfort). I also recently walked all over Paris in them and don't have a blister or sore spot to show for it. Mind you, these aren't high-fashion shoes, but they will take you from the office to the weekend without awkwardness. Neoprene detail on outside shaft adds a hint of futuristic flair. My only beef is that the word "waterproof" is embossed on the outside, which I find unnecessary and cheesy. Especially when the boots aren't completely waterproof. Wellies are still necessary for truly slushy days.

THESE BOOTS ARE GREAT ! I CAN WALK MY DOG IN THE RAIN AND THEN GO OUT WITHOUT CHANGING MY BOOTS! THEY ARE COMFORTABLE TOO!THANKYOU

Amazing boot but since I am only 5ft the top of the boot hits my knee! This is definately the first time this has happened to me so I assume Merrell makes their boots with long legs in mind
The boots are so comfortable. The gait is fantastic, so fantastic that it is more like the boots are doing all the work while you walk. Walking in these boots is effortless.

I was buying this boot for my daughter, so I read prior reviews. They indicated that I needed to order 1/2 size larger, so I did, and they fit perfectly. My daughter loves the boot. She is a veterinarian and is on her feet all day. She currently is in Canada so she needed the waterproof feature. At first I was a little afraid to order online for my daughter, but now I know to read reviews and just go for it.

Would have gladly kept the product were it not for the calf shaft of the boot being a hair narrow. Otherwise, amazingly well made, durable boots!

This boots are not good around ankle. It is looks like in this place it is too big, or maybe my ankle are too small :). That is only problem which I have so far.

I really like these boots! I have trouble because I have big calves, but these zip, with a bit of rooms to spare. They are very comfortable and relatively wide through the toe box, in case you need that. I would highly recommend giving them a try!
These boots are terrific for winter. I teach young children and am walking/running around all day. My feet are dry and comfy! I would recommend these to anyone.

I loved the boot, however my calf is too big to zip it up so I had to return it. If only Merrell would make an extended calf version - it would be my first buy!
For years I've been on a quest for the perfect boot. These are the boots I been searching for! They are stylish and oh so comfortable. I show English Setters and need to look classy yet be able to jog around the breed ring. The boots are amazing and can be worn all day without a hint of pain. Believe me, I have tried about every brand of so called comfortable dress boots and these win by a long shot. They look great with almost everything and are well worth the price. I'm a Merrell convert.

I just got my boots today and they're great. I've been looking everywhere for nice waterproof boots that are comfortable but not clunky, and stylish but without high heels (I'm a klutz in heels). I'm so glad I tried these. They're comfortable right out of the box, and I assume they'll only get more comfortable as I wear them in. They're sturdy and warm, but not too stiff or hot. I ordered them because they're multifunctional: appropriate for work, waterproof for snowy weather, and stylish enough to wear out on the town.
The only tiny complaint I have is that the calves of the boots are a little bit big on me (by an inch or two), but I suppose my legs are a little on the skinny side. I'd rather they be a little big, too, than too snug.
Also, they're not as thick as the photo makes them look, although they are lined.

I bought a pair of the low boots first thinking they were the water proof version and wore them before I realized and couldn't return them. I Love those so it's ok. I am going to Paris for a month in december and plan on a lot of walking so I needed a warm waterproof pair and a higher shaft boot would help keep me warm (professed weather wimp!). So I bought these boots and I love then too. I am breaking them in or have done so, 4 hour. the leather is great and I would have been fine to ware them staight out of the box on my trip, but I didn't want to chance it. they conform right to your feet. and when I wore them on a warmish day (low 70s) my feet wern't hot, just happy!

these are the kind of durable, suits-all-your-needs boots I have been looking for. you can wear them anywhere and not have to worry too much about taking care of them. im glad someone is finally designing shoes with all our needs in mind.

Good inclement weather boot..(waterproof, stable) without the chunky look of other waterproof boots. They look good with pants, jeans, skirts or gauchos.

I am a HUGE fan of Merrell footwear. These boots are no exception. I wear them in the winter/bad weather to commute back and forth in Chicago. I fear neither rain, nor snow, nor sleet, nor puddles. My calf is aproximately 16 inches and I can still zip up the boot with a knee high sock on, it's snug but not uncomfortably so.

These boots are worth every penny I paid for them, and as a grad student, I watch my pennies! They are great looking, with a modern feel, but also sturdy, warm, and completely impervious to our wacky Pac-NW spring weather. I often wear them with jeans or pants, but they do pretty well with casual skirts, too. The boots are not heavy, which is the problem with some other rubber soled boots, but they do have a rather wide shaft--on me this means they do rock around a bit, but the upper seam is well-made and doesn't rub. Absolutely terrific product; highly recommend.
