i am a nurse and i have aching feet. the new balance shoes with the rollbar are just what i need to keep them from hurting while i stand on my feet all day to provide care to my patients. in order to have a good attitude to them i have to feel good myself. i chose this particular shoe in black because not only do i wear the shoes with the rollbar to work in, i wear them everyday. i think the black shoe looks good in the fall or winter months with blue jeans or anything else you want to wear. besides, if your feet are killing you, you can't enjoy the wonderful things in life that are going on around you. i would recommend this shoe or any other new balance shoe with the rollbar to anyone who stands on their feet alot, has back pain, or just wants to look good and be comfortable at the same time. thanks

My previous New Balance shoes were 7 1/2 B. My current New Balance shoes are 7 1/2 B. So that was the size I ordered. However, they had to be exchanged for 8 B because they were not long enough. Once I received the proper size, they fit wonderfully and are great to walk in. Lots of room for orthotics.

These shoes are by far the best athletic shoes I have ever owned. When I first tried them on, they felt lightweight and comfortable. My first day out with them was unbelievable. My feet never felt a pinch or achy. I had them on for over 5 hours and experienced nothing more than a great pair of comfortable shoes. Total satisfaction! I have a painful bunion on my left foot and never felt any pain on that bunion while I had them on. The stability was incredible. Great for overpronators...like me. They may not be a fashionable pair of shoes, but they sure are worth every penny. I use to worry alot about fashion until it gave birth to painful bunions on both feet. My right foot was operated on already. The left is yet to be determined.

I am an ER nurse with chronic ankle and plantar pain. Working in a busy ER and on my feet for 12 hours was a nightmare, and over-the-counter pain meds were the norm every working day. My pain is gone! This shoe corrects my pronation problems, which were the cause of all the pain. I've tried orthotics, but this is even better because the orthotic is right in the shoe. Therefore, there is "normal" room in the shoebox. I highly recommend this shoe. It may not be the prettiest, but if I don't have pain I'll trade for looks anyday.

I stand at work, no sitting in 10hrs. Although my feet get tired in these shoes, and they aren't specifically made for standing still that long, they are so far the most comfortable shoes I own for standing still. They also are great for correcting my walk. I have arthritis in my toes and I am an over pronator so walking for more than a few minutes can be painful. Until I began wearing these shoes. Now, I don't even feel the arthritis! I am thinking of buying a 2nd pair as a back up for when these are worn out.

This is the second pair I've owned of this particular style.... they are simply the BEST shoe out there for walking. The rollbar in the bottom straightened my posture and actually makes me feel taller. It's made a huge difference in the amount of walking I can do. Also, the back of the ankle is flexible.... so there is no "breaking in" pain associated with it rubbing on the back of the ankle. Major Plus!!! I love these shoes!

I have arthritis in my big toes. My orthopedic doctor recommended these walking sneakers. I had trouble finding them in stores so I went online and ordered them. [...] I love them. The support on the bottom of my feet is great. The ortho doctor said my big toes do not bend up like they should so the support on the bottom of the sneakers really help. I'm going to tell my brother about these as he has the same problem. I would recommend these walking sneakers to anyone with arthritis in their toes.

I recently had plantar faciitis surgery on my foot. I previously had New Balance 844's. I read some online reviews about the New Balance 926's and didn't really think I'd feel too much of a difference between the two, but I ordered them anyway. I have to say - I'm impressed! They arrived the day before leaving for New York City and I wore these shoes exclusively. We walked ALOT! These shoes gave me tremendous support and comfort. A real noticeable difference. When wearing my 844's, I was still having alot of pain in my foot. These new 926's really helped in alleviating that pain. I'm very pleased with them!

I purchased these before my trip to Las Vegas where I covered alot of territory on the strip. I didn't have a problem with my feet, which was such a relief. They are also easy to keep clean. I highly recommended them.

This is my third pair of this 926 style and model of shoe. I love, love, love them. I have "memopausal duck feet" and these are the most comfortable shoes I have. They come in wide sizes, which I do take. I wear an arch support with them and used my older pair for walking. My newer pair is used for when I go out. This is the first pair of shoes I have worn where my feet did not hurt. The only thing I would suggest is to make the shoe with a mesh upper, as it might be a bit cooler in the summer for my hot-flashy feet. I wrote the company about the idea of making the same model with a mesh upper, they told me there were no plans for it in the future and did suggest another model to try. But since these are so comfy, I really hate to try something else. On a star rating-- with 5 being the best, these would have a six!!

These are great shoes, feel very stable and perfect for the overpronator. They are clunky, though, so not for the fashion conscious. Very hot, too, don't have much breathability because they are leather overall, so I would not wear them in the summer. But I can't wait for fall when I think I'll use them daily. Perfect walkers for cool weather. Great for people who love the NB last.

After breaking my tibia/fibula/ankle twice I needed a shoe with great support. The 926 has a wider, flat bottom, and anti-roll bar. Right now, it's the only shoe I can wear with my leg brace, so I have one pair for outside and the other for indoors. The only problem I had was the tongue irritated my surgery incision at my ankle. I have a lot of trouble finding a shoe that is a true medium width, most shoes are either too wide or too narrow, and this shoe fits PERFECTLY. They are also great on a wet floor, I just don't know how to express how happy my feet are. I spent many years tending bar and this shoe would have been great for food and restaurant workers also.

I have finally found a good shoe that is well worth the price I paid. Before wearing this shoe, I continuously had problems with my feet - the workout shoes that I purchased always seemed to cause either my heels to hurt, my back to hurt or were just not true to size which caused blisters. This is the first shoe I have ever had that I did not have to break-in. They were comfortable from the day I put them on. Too bad they don't come in many colors - I'd buy them all. So far, I have purchased 3 pairs just in case New Balance stops making them. I work out at the gym 5 times a week so they get plenty of wear. They're also great for shopping trips, or just walking around.

I am delivery driver and i'm constantly on my feet in slippery restaurant kitchens with hard floors. These shoes have been fantastic for keeping me upright and have the added benefit of being fantastic for not aggravating my vericose veins. I don't much care for the insoles that come with them, so, I was pleased to find that I could remove the stock ones and put my own in. Many shoes that claim to be wide tend to pinch my feet and these just don't pinch at all. The toebox is nice and roomy.

I was a little skeptical about the no break-in rocker toe that these have but it really does work and it makes wearing these right out of the box with no break-in period a true reality. You just put them on and go. Many shoes claim to not need breaking in but usually after a few weeks, they've changed shape enough that they start to aggavate my very tempermental veins. These just worked and several months later, they're still working splendidly.

I think the biggest thing that annoys me about them is they're not as breathable as i'd like. Most of the time when I find shoes like this, i just drill some holes in the side but I haven't gotten around to it yet. They're not so hot that I can't wait to get them off, they're just a little too hot when the weather gets daunting.

Bottom line for me is that they don't hurt my legs or my feet or my knees and they don't mess up my back and I like them so much I bought 3 pairs just in case they stop making them. Most of the time I go through shoes in 6 months or less. I bought these in January and its now June and they're holding up great.

Great shoe, I'm buying another pair.

After two surgeries for a broken tibia/fibula/ankle 11 months apart, I needed shoes with good support. The rollbar helped keep my ankle from turning. I only wore the left shoe for several months because my right leg was in an aircast. So, the left shoe has a lot more wear. The only thing that bothered me was the tongue would rub on the lower part of my incision. Since I am still wearing a brace on my leg I wear the shoes all the time.

If anyone had bone spurs, these shoe are great. I have been wearing new balance 926 shoe for three years now. I walk 3 miles a day and work 12 hours shifts. My bone spurs don't bother me at all. Also these shoes are much cheaper on lines.

Thanks
Ellen

I ordered this shoe for my wife who has had three surgeries on her foot and the clinic that fashioned a custom insole recommended this shoe because it can be ordered in widths and it has a fairly large toe box. It seems to work well given her condition.

I have worn the NB811 style for several years, and this shoe(929) is a major improvement. I stand on concrete several hours a day, and the 926 really protects my feet. At the end of the day, my feet don't hurt!

I'm a diabetic and have trouble finding a shoe that is comfortable over any period of walking. This is compounded with the fact that I have narrow feet (AA). Most men's casual shoes do not come in narrow sizes, but I have found that NB womens narrow fit very well if I go up a couple sizes. These NB 926 have the right amount of support and I can walk for miles without any discomfort. They took a little while to get used to as they turned my foot straight instead of my normal gate. but once I was used to them they are really comfortable. I'd recommend them to anyone who walks for their health.
