Great shoe if you have a high arch. I think Asics tend to run small in general, so I bought a half size up form my normal size and they fit just right!

This is my 2nd pair of this style. I have worn them for XC and road races without any shin splints or tendonitis. They look good, and clean up well after running on trails, too.

Have always loved asics before but these shoes did not live up to expectations. Within the first mile my feet began to hurt so bad that I wasn't able to finish my run. If you do buy these, buy a size larger and wouldn't recommend them for those with wider than average feet.

I'm a nurse and on my feet for 10-12 hrs a day. These are like walking on cushions, and support my arches better than any shoe I've worn. Am going to buy another pair before I can't find them anymore.

My physical therapist prescribed this shoe for me. I have a number of problems with my feet and the shoe has been amazing in reducing my pain. It is so light weight , comfortable and gives me such wonderful support. I can honestly say there is nothing negative that I could say about the shoe. I do have to replace them every 6 months , not because of the shoe but because of my existing medical conditions. If you are having foot and leg problems you need to try this shoe , you will not be disappointed!

Gel Cumulus don't need breaking in. I run and walk 4 to 6 times a week 3-6 miles and I am getting ready for a half-marathon so more miles will be accumulating. Since I have a bunion I am always pleased at how asics gel cumulus does not make it worse. They allow me to do what I do. I am happy to know that I can rely on them. I am 64.

Love this shoe! The only problem is that when it's rained, it has poor traction on sidewalks with the smooth pebbles in them. Regualar sidewalks are okay.

I guess my bunions are worse than others'--these were too small both in size and width, whereas my New Balance size nine, D width, were too big. Still looking... But otherwise they seem to be a good shoe.

I have worn the Cumulus for years and was surprised to find the size so off on these shoes. I have always worn a 9 and have feet that are on the narrow side of medium, so I ordered a 9 based on reviews that said this fit true to size. I am returning them for a half size bigger. Asics appear to have totally changed their styling on these, so maybe that is why there is a size discrepancy. You definitely need toe space if you plan to use these for running! My recommendation is ORDER A HALF SIZE LARGER, if you are a RUNNER.

My shoes were prescribed to me by my doctor , who specializes in athletic injuries and unusual foot problems. I have very high arches ,very tight calves and a bone spur on my heel. I do not absorb shock as as a normal foot would.
I am in the food service industry in an area school which requires me to stand on concrete 6 hours a day. The cumulus 9 is the perfect shoe for me. It is so light weight, has great traction, great support and looks great. I would not wear any other shoe.

I've just resumed casual running after taking 4 years off (not smart). I run 3 miles a day 3-4 times a week. I used to wear a competitors shoe because I could get it in a narrow width. This shoe also comes in narrow width and is much lighter in weight. I've convinced several laadies at work to purchase this shoe.

I am 24 years old and was having major problems with my feet during and after my 5-8 mile workouts. The prevous 2 Nike pairs and 1 New Balance were rubbing blisters with every workout making my feet in constant pain. When I had to put on 10 bandaids per workout I had had enough. I was fitted for these great Cumulus shoes, and they are an absolute lifesaver! My feet don't have blisters anymore because the shoe box is wider and the mesh on the shoe allows my feet to breathe. The shoe also helps with my overpronation and has great support for my high arches. I would highly recommend this shoe to anyone who wants a casual feel-good shoe and also to someone who needs a overall fantastic workout shoe. I'll never switch from Asics now :)

Also bought a pair of Mizuno Wave Rider 10s - very breathable and good traction but not as lightweight as the Mizuno's. The heel of the shoe rises a bit too far at the back of the ankle and causes rubbing which is a bit uncomfortable. That's my only complaint so far, hopefully it'll loosen up once broken in.

I usually use the Asics Gel Kayano and love it but was hoping to find a less-expensive shoe that was just as good. I'd probably love these if I'd never run in the Kayano, but they just don't live up to that high standard. They're pretty comfortable, but I have ankle pain if I run longer than 5 miles in them.

These are a great running shoe I have ran in the Asics Cumulus for the longest time, but none have compared to my 99's version of the cumulus, until now!!! I'm soo excited about this running shoe they are light weight, have lots of cushioning and are snug at the heel. I hope that Asics will keep this version of the Cumulus for a very long time.

If you are a runner - you would probably want to buy these a full size bigger - if you are getting them to kick around in - then they would fit true to size. I have been wearing the Cumulous VIII for the past 3 years and have used them to train in and run two marathons. I was unhappy to find that ASICS finally changed them to a Cumulous 9 - but as far as I can tell - it's the same shoe - different color.
I would buy this shoe again.

I love this shoe. I bought this model to replace my older model. It's been updated with the Impact Guidance System and I haven't had any knee pain while running in these. It's extremely lightwieght and good looking. It has great arch support and cushioning. I did, however, order one full size up from my normal size. My previous model Gel Cumulus was only a half size larger. I highly recommend this shoe.

I have various foot issues that make shoe selection difficult and most often disappointing. I have high arches, bunions, have suffered from plantar fasciitis, etc. This shoe is great if you want a lot of cushion and support, but still need some room to account for that not-so-perfect foot. I also get a lot of compliments on how they look which is an added bonus.
