Had a pair of the canvas style and love them. Ordered these for a trip to the Grand Canyon and was stuck with them for 18 days. Hikes off the river were basically impossible in these, once they got wet they were the y barely stayed on my feet. I repeatedly slipped around into rocks slamming my feet.

I found these sandals to be quite good, but having gotten a pair of Keen Newport at about the same time I much prefer the Newport. While these shoes are lighter weight, they just do not have the same comfort factor as the Newport. I find the straps to be at the heart of the problem, they are just "stiffer" and do not have as much flex. If I had it to do over, I would have gotten two pairs of the Newport.

I NEVER travel without my Keen Venice sandals. Whether at the pool, beach, out for a casual dinner, and anytime after work, you will never have a more comfortable and stylish shoe. Keen's are Awesome. They wear great. I have a pair I purchased 4 years ago and they are still in great shape even after rock climbing in Utah's slot canyons in them. Their traction is unbelievable even on rain soaked sandstone. The only downside about them is that they will disappear from your hotel room if you turn your back. That's why I ordered my second pair of Venice's.

The Keen Venice was recommended by the sales associate in a Hawaii surf shop because the closed toe was good for hiking on lava rock. He was so right and then some. I need arch support and these sandals are perfect. I live in them. I wear wool socks in them in winter because I can't stand other shoes on my feet.

I use the shoe as an all around shoe.
I have one leg shorter than the other. These shoes fit so well I may not get them built up as I have to do with all other shoes.

Great shoes, my 5th pair of Keen. Light on your feet, the soles are very comfortable to walk on. I spend a lot of time on my feet walking on concrete in a production work environment so comfortable shoes are very important to me. I even wrote to Keen telling them they make a great shoe that doesn't crunch your toes by being too narrow.

Soft yet strong elastic cross straps fit more comfortably than velcro style straps on Teva and similar sandals for my wide and high-arched foot. A little warm in the toebox if sitting still but extremely comfortable on the move.
Closed front a plus in both urban and rural excursions.
