these are so far the best boots I've gotten. I ware them all day long from 7 am to 11 at night. and have very little trouble with them. I've had them for a year+-. I think the only bad things are * and the reson I marked Wear Out Quickly* is because the inside of the shoe was starting to fall apart about 5 months ago. I would get red stains on my socks and red fabric type of stuff coming off from the inside. and the heal part is coming apart. but that does get alot of ware. like I said I use these shoes all the time for work from walking on concret all day to driving truck and walking in the mud to camping and weekend use. and it has never failed me. I would consider my self hard on shoes. so I am glad how much these held up so far. and I and going to keep them longer still. got a few more miles left. I would watch for the insides and some of the stiching is coming apart leting in water. but I havent taken care *cleaning,ect.* of them. they are very comfortable. I am thinking about geting 2 more. one for work and one for causaul after work.

The shoes turned out to be a bit brighter than pictured, particularly the trim line on the side which I think is a shame because I like the shade pictured. Otherwise they are excellent. They're comfortable, tough, and look nice. They grip the ground pretty well too.

An OK shoe for working in the yard or hiking. Good support but a little too stiff. Toe box is a little tight.

I bought this shoe for a trip to Madrid in January, which is very cold at that time, I did a lot of walking and these shoes felt light ,comfortable and kept my feet warm. Definetly a good buy.

With 977, New Balance hiking is back!

Not since the 851, has New Balance made a good hiking sneaker. Now the 977 fills that void in the New Balance line. It's comfortable from the first wearing, yet has great support on the uneven trails of New England. I highly recommend it.
