My boyfriend will only wear Merrel's, I have a rough time with my Achilles tendon and have had bouts of plantar faceitis in the past. This shoe makes such a difference that I feel as though I have never had a problem. The added bonus is that I work with women who are shoe addicted and they have asked "Wear I got them" and "How cute"

So I love them, they are definatly my shoes of choice and sit next to my Birkenstock's, as an equal in comfort and 1st choice in style.

These shoes aren't really meant to be worn with socks, but boy do they smell if you don't. I would invest in some doctor scholls odor eaters. I don't usually have a foot odor problem, so I think its just the lack of breathability in this shoe. Also, they stained up pretty quickly and the straps are elastic on the side and stretched out fast (didn't hold their shape). I really like them though and they are super super comfortable.
