previously owned this shoe in another material, so I was surprised by the stiffness at first. They are wearing in nicely and I used my last pair over 10 years. The price was very nice. The quality of shoe is very good. Worth every penny!

This is my second pair, the first lasted through years of abuse. I love them with jeans, they are tough and yet pretty for girly girls with backbone! I did need to go down a size, they run a little large, and give them a chance to break in. Then you will be in love.

Very versitile shoe. Great with dresses or pants. I wear them to work everyday. The first day I put them on they were a bit stiff however my heel didn't slip at all. No blisters breaking them in. They have a lot of support and are breaking in quickly. Unique style, look great and I get tons of compliments on them. I wish they would start making them in white again for the summer. Awesome to wear all year round. They're so sturdy, I believe they will out live me!

I wear my DOCS to work , to school , and to play in ... I love them ! They last forever and they are so comfortable ! The only bad thing about them is they are hard to break in because they are leather.

Okay, honesty first: the pair of these that I have are the same shoe but not from this site--I bought them used. They are the original classic T-strap that, I think, started the whole T-Strap trend when they first appeared in the 60s or whenever it was. The style goes well with pants or dresses/skirts, albeit not formalwear. It will definitely last forever and I like the basic look. The only negatives are that it's too hot and clunky for warm weather (I need a lighter shoe for that) and the leather right now is still stiff enough to rub blisters on my heels. I wear them in inclement or cool weather but not right now; they do need insoles added and time allowed for them to get broken in, but overall a good general-purpose shoe.

These shoes are true classics. They go so well w/ jeans. They are very stiff in the beginning but they do soften right up and become extremely comfortable. The soles are a good height. I am pleased w/ my purchase overall. I do normally wear a size 8 but needed to get these shoes in a size 7. I think because they are sized in UK, they run bigger. I wear this shoe almost everyday. it goes with jeans and my work pants. they are good shoes if you have to stand on your feet all day. not so great is that you have to wear them in at first. when i got them they pinched my feet and felt a half of a size too small. but these shoes only come in whole sizes. Once you wear them in though they are great.

This is my second time buying these shoes. I first bought them 11 years ago, and I'm just replacing them now! Although they are a bit uncomfortable now, they are leather and they will stretch and conform to my feet as I wear them more. That's what I love about them! I am a teacher, so I'm on my feet almost all day. Even with my flat feet these are my shoes of preference. Once they're broken in, they are the most comfortable shoes. I also have these in brown. I wear a size 9, but I've found UK6 is the best size for me.

I love these shoes and have both a brown and black pair. They do run a tad big but I was aware of that prior to purchasing them. I wear very heavy cable knee socks with them and the fit is fine. These shoes will outlive me. They are sturdy, rugged and very attractive on my feet. Everyone notices them.

This shoe is great. It's really comfortable. The only con about it was that the leather is kind of stiff so it rubbed agains the heel and gave me a blister the first few times i wore them. After they are broken in they are good to go!
