Very Comfortable shoes that I can wear all day!
THE SHOE WAS VERY UNCOMFORTABLE
Cute and comfy for the feet but gave me blisters around the lower ankle bone every time I wore them without socks (which is how they look best). I had to return them. Maybe I have weird feet. :)
I love the look of these shoes, but they kill my feet. I ordered a size 8 which is what I usually wear and they are too tight. I even resorted to taking the insole out, but then you have to wear socks. The plastic strap will not stretch and gets sweaty and pinches. The heal digs in horribly and I have yet to wear them without getting a blister if I don't put a bandaid on first. Very dissappointed - wasted [$]and will probably end up buying something different and throw these in my closet.
I got these for my walk to and from work, and because my Merrell snow boots are amazing. I have lousy arches and Merrells make it possible for me to walk without orthodics. Unfortunately, I also have a not-severe bunion on my left foot, which unlike my snow boots, these shoes irritate. Also unlike my snow boots, these shoes rubbed blisters on my back ankles while I broke them in. Still, the stability and arch support, and the cute style, are second to none.
I love Merrell shoes. My orthopedic doctor created a monster whenhe recommended that I start wearing them. I have now purchased6 or 7 pairs (I've lost count) through On-line shoes. [...] I've recommned them toall my friends & family. I may never wear another brand other thanMerrell again. I feel so good on my feet!
I saw these on a friend of mine a few years ago and thought that they were sporty and cute. She said how much she liked hers so I bought a pair. Heaven! Like walking on buttered noodles, but with really nice support. I just bought my second pair...I hate to think what will happen when they wear out (I'm still wearing my first pair after a year of almost daily use and they're still in great shape).
Love the shoe!
These shoes are very comfortable and i would recomend them to anyone. Though i do really love these shoes, they do give me blisters if i don't wear tights with them, but that isn't too big of a deal to me.
We went to Maui on vacation and I purposely bought these shoes for walking and hiking. Well, they ended up being really uncomfortable due to the fact that they were too wide (while hiking the whole shoe would go one way while my foot went another), the heel was too high on my ankle (and gave me blisters) and it pushed forward into my heel, thus pushing my whole foot foward and causing one toe to butt up against the toe of the shoe. I also noticed that they made my feet really hot. Sad to say that they didn't work for me but maybe with the proper fit they'll work for you.
I love these shoes. This is my second order. My previous order was for me and my daughter. Has Merrell discontinued them? Oh how sad! I really wanted a pair of the black/black ones too!
I first time I wore the carousel , It really feel great on my feet. Dindt even cause any blister on my first few days , never at all... I would really recommend this shoe... more power...
I've been searching for a casual everyday pair of cute sporty shoes that don't look too bulky or wide on my feet and this fits the bill perfectly. Great for everyday errands, for watching kids' soccer games, for cool or rainy weather. Very comfortable, heel doesn't hurt, ankle bone doesn't get rubbed by the sides and toes have enough breathing space. Even has removable insole. And to top it all, it is so cute! The picture, though, is quite deceiving as the plastic on the top is more of orange-brown, not yellow and it blends perfectly with the rest of the shoes.
I was recently diagnosed with MS and these shoes give me the stabilty I need so that I can walk without a cane. Yes, a little rubbing on the heel, initially, but the shoes soften. With the removable bed, a heel lift is also possible. I call them my "magic" shoes!
These are the only comfortable dressy shoes I've ever owned. They did rub a blister when I first started wearing them, but only one and only at first. Better than any other dressy shoe I've tried. They're good with or without socks.
I love this shoe, but I have a really narrow heel, so it slips a little bit--nothing that a quick insert didn't fix, though. Someone poured an entire beer on one of them at a game, and I couldn't even tell the next day (still even smelled new!)

If I had one shoe to take anywhere, this would be The One. Women And men ask me where I got this shoe (men ask for their wives, of course). I have worn this gem (the Midnight version) Everywhere-city, galleries, boardwalk, even to the Black Ties on Cruise wearing evening length hand beaded dresses-but yes! And got the most applause-ha! This shoe dances on its own, take it from a ballet kid-modern dancer, holistic Yogan. For a slip of a style it puts out better stability than any of my hikers, and I have a huge inventory.
I broke my foot and ankle years ago, and Nothing passes for comfort like this model. It stretches and holds fast at the same time. I'm ordering another Exactly like the one I'm wearing, and an alternate color for more matches. Not that my black ones wore out, on the contrary, they brush up to spiffy even after mucking in the garden. I just think brown works with natural linen and khakis, fall tweeds, etc.
I was disappointed with this shoe and sent it back. There was no arch support and it did not have the expected Merrell comfort I'm used to.
I'm a pastry chef and on my feet all day. After I broke my foot in Dansko clogs, I'm on the eternal quest for the work shoes that wear well and look good. The Carousel is a totally cute great shoe, doesn't slip around on wet floors. The first couple of times I wore them, I did get blisters on my heels, but after that, the shoes softened and they've been comfy ever since. My only complaint is that sometimes when it's very hot and my feet are swollen the plastic crossband digs into the tops of my feet, but it's minor.

These didn't work out for me! Bummer, big disappointment! They are cute just very big and wide. My feet are a bit narrow and I do OK w/ Merells that tie. these were too big all the way around
I sent these shoes back because they felt stiff and awkward. They just weren't as I had expected
This are the cutest shoes I've bought in a long time! I even bought them in black after having this pair. Everyone always compliments them and they are very comfortable once you have worn them a couple of times to stretch the clear band on the top.
Really cute and comfy. I would like a way to tighten the little strap over the foot, as they seem to run a little wide. All in all, a great show! Can be worn with everything, even a casual dress!
Wonderful shoe, well suited for European travel (cobblestones, crooked stairs, impromptu hiking, did not look like goofy American running shoes). Unfortunately, the back of the shoe is very high, very stiff, and bends in towards the bottom of the leg/above the heel. I wore them one day to work, not that much walking, and was in a great deal of pain by the end of the day. I was heartbroken, it is so hard to find a decent travel shoe and they were otherwise perfect. What were they thinking!
Note: I usually purchase Merrell shoes a half size larger than my normal shoe size.
