These shoes fit beautifully and looked very stylish. They felt comfortable UNTIL I took my first step. Then they slipped at the heel with each step. Perhaps that steel shank won't allow the shoe to bend with the foot.

This shoe ran too large for me. It was a little too long and slightly too wide. It is made of very soft leather, but that made me question how well it would hold up to everyday use.

I ordered the wide the first time which is my normal size and it was way too narrow. Haven't decided if the double wide is going to work or not.

This is a really well made and comfortable shoe. I had to return it because it felt a little too big and slipped at the heel while walking. The bottom was rubbery for a good grip, except the bottom of the heel, which was of a harder material (plastic?) and seemed like it would be slippery on ice or waxed floors. Overall, very nice.[...] I would suggest not ordering here unless you're quite sure the shoe will fit will be a keeper.

I need and wear only "foot-friendly" shoes because I have bunions and flexible feet. This shoe is not foot-friendly because the leather is way too stiff. The vamp pinched rather than expanded when I walked. I knew within one minute of wearing, these were not going to work. I do a lot of walking on our work campus that covers 80 acres, so I need a shoe that looks appropriate for a business casual office and provides comfort and support as well. These had the right appearance, but were not at all comfortable. I would not recommend these to anyone with problem feet like mine.

I travel throughout the world and I also teach. I needed a dress shoe that was comfortable for long hours. When I found this shoe, I was so relieved. It is very comfortable to wear all day and I even traveled in this shoe from Korea to North Carolina last summer and my feet felt great when I arrived! It slips on, so it is wonderful in airports and on the plane. I have weak arches and ball of foot pain, so finding a shoe this comfortable and attractive is a relief. The shoe is very stable and the leather is high quality. It takes me from airport to meeting to luncheons in comfort and style even through the rain.

I bought these shoes because I needed a stable, comfortable shoe with some support. I was pleasantly surprise at the quality of these shoes and how well these shoes go with pants. The shoes make you look like you're wearing boots, but are lightweight. I love them.

This is the best shoe I have ever owned. I teach school all day and then work part-time retail. My feet NEVER hurt! In other shoes I could barely walk by the end of a long day. Now I come home and walk in the evening with my husband around the block. They are wonderful. amazing. just the best. I have three pairs. When you find one that fits as well as this, buy it in every color! :)

Love the shoe. I wore it to an all day conference where I was on my feet most of the time. I never once thought of my feet! That night when I took off my shoes, I remembered thinking that morning that I was crazy to wear a new pair of shoes for a whole day--a day mostly spent on my feet. I would have been crazy to wear anything else.
