I sent back because the grey is extremely dark, almost black. I had to send back because I already had patent black ballets. Photo is deceptive.
But in addition to that - it definitely runs Extremely small. I wear a 9 - ordered a 9.5 and they were still small.
Very cute shoe! I wear a 10 normally, but have somewhat of a wide foot with long toes. I ordered and 11 and it fits perfectly. Adorable color, I got them in pewter. I'm definitely ordering another pair.

Oh, ladies of OnlineShoes, I should have believed you. I wear this brand all the time and ordered the size I normally wear. I could barely stand up in them, they were so tight on my toes. I ended up returning them and ordering a 1/2 size up and wide width from another retailer. (I do NOT have wide feet) They are MUCH better. These are so cute and in the bigger size, they are comfortable. You could probably get away with 1/2 size bigger OR wide width.
Love these shoes! they are so cute, unfortunately they size quite small and they were out of the next full size up! I was very disappointed in that, I definitely wanted them.

These shoes looked so good in the picture, but I agree with the other reviewer that they look black rather than grey in person.
Also, they were 1/2 size too small, so back they go!

I took the advice of other reviewer(s) and order the wide size - and was very glad I did. I do not have any other shoes in a size wide; usually M works well for me. However, these shoes fit perfectly! What I love about them is the comfort. I love the look of ballet flats, but find most are too flat for me. These are perfect in terms of style AND comfort. They gray color is very cool and goes with everything.

I have other Sofft shoes in 8W that fit great. These I had to reorder in 8.5 wide because they were too small. Like all Sofft shoes, they have comfortable insole padding. I got many compliments on them the first day I wore them.

After reading reviews some of which said the shoe felt small, I ordered it a half size larger. The shoe is beautiful but still too small. What a disappointment!

I love the color of this comfortable ballet flat! It runs small so be sure to order 1/2 size up. The cushioned footbed is a nice plus.

I bought these as a fun, trendy flat to wear with jeans. Sofft shoes have always been super comfortable, but I can barely wear these shoes. They rub really badly on the inside of my heels. Plus, they don't stay on my heels when I walk, which is awkward and causes unnecessary rubbing on my heels. Too bad, because they're SO cute and I love the pewter patent leather.

I received these shoes today and will be sending them back tomorrow. I read all the reviews, ordered a half size larger and the shoes are still too small. Additionally the arch is strangely placed toward the front of the shoe.
They are very cute and I would get a different size except for the most disappointing feature--I ordered the pewter as they looked patent gray on the computer, but they are much more black than gray.

I was so excited to get these shoes, but when I put them on, I was so disappointed. I wear a 9 1/2... this shoe felt a whole size smaller! I'd imagine they'd be great if I had ordered a 10 or a 10 1/2... they looked like comfortable shoes. I'm going to try a different brand, though.

This shoe is great for work. It is professional but comfortable when on your feet or walking. I bought it also to wear with dressy shorts and summer skirts. I ordered my usual 71/2 Narrow but found I needed to go up to an 8N. The shoe has a great arch and is supportive. Very cute also!

The shoe is very comfortable and stylish. I like to wear them with tight jeans or shorts. They do run a half size too small. You can walk in these shoes all day.

I have a pair of boots in this brand that I just adore, so when I was looking for some flats Sofft was at the top of my list. They don't sacrifice comfort for style; they do both really well. I wear a 7 in almost all shoes, but my boots are 7.5. However, when I ordered these, they were really tight in the toe box (length was fine). I don't have particularly wide feet (they might fall a tiny bit on the wide side of normal but I've never had a problem), so I was surprised, but I sent them back and got 7.5w. They're perfect! [...] These would be cute with jeans and I can wear them to work, which is great. Just make sure you order a half size up and be aware that they run narrow.

These shoes are just FAB-U-LOUS! SO COMFY! very fashionable for women of any age. Would buy them in any and every colour.
Wear them with any thing casual to dressy casual.
You'll want to order a half size larger than what you normally wear as this particular style of Sofft shoe runs a tad short.

Finally...black flats that are both cute and comfortable! I love the fact that they provide more support than the average ballet flat; the small heel and clever details are a nice bonus. Definitely order a half-size up on these, though - I normally wear 8.5, ordered a 9.0 per the recommendations on this site, and I think I'm still going to have to have one shoe stretched a little bit.
I'm returning the pair I ordered and will try one more time for size. I like the look of the shoe and the unique color, but I have had trouble with the Sofft brand fitting me. I usually wear a 7 medium and will try a 7 1/2 wide. This shoe feels very short and narrow to me, but I'll give it one more try because it's cute and a comfort shoe.

My only complaint with this shoe is the unpredictable fit. I ordered the size I usually wear in Sofft, and it was way too tight. I exchanged it for a size larger, and it was too narrow. I just exchanged that pair for another pair of exactly the same size, and it seems to fit. This model must be made with different specs than other Sofft shoes. Good luck getting a pair that fits right away.

The Pilars are such well constructed flats. I ordered the red and black patent leather and they are both beautiful. I did need to order a half size larger than I would normally buy in dress shoes and they take some time to break in because the quarter was quite stiff. The patent leather is very soft but still durable. I am recovering from knee surgery and they are also very supportive.

I tried and tried but no luck. The width was fine, the narrow fit perfect. I got 1/2 size larger and it was perfect if I didn't move or take a step. The full size large was huge. I must be between sizes for this brand. Oh well. My feet are hard to fit so I woudn't blame this on the shoe just yet.

I use this shoe at work and for special occasions - it is trendy and stylish. I ended up with a 8W (I normally wear a 7.5W in this type of shoe) and use a half sole insert to keep my toes in place. I highly recommend a half sole insert rather than a heel insert. I stand and walk a lot in my manager job and this shoe is the perfect combination of fit and support. You have to experiment with the sizing depending on your foot shape. I love the sheen and the pewter color, it looks great with greys, blues, pinks and purples.

Well, I did not listen to the reviews to buy a half size bigger since I had purchased this brand before in my normal size. When I received the shoes they were way too small. I did take out the cardboard at the toe but it was just too small of a shoe. I did exchange for only a half size bigger which fits but it is still a little on the tight side for lenghth. Since the shoe is a ballet style I thought going any bigger the shoe would fall off so I will just wear them in. Otherwise they are really comfortable as an everyday walking around shoe.

I love these shoes!!! :):):) I have ordered 3 pairs now. I found that with any good shoe of quaility they run a bit smaller. I wear an 8 1/2 to 9 M shoe, I ordered a 9W in this shoe and the fit is good. I also suggest after removing the paper in the toe to check for a cardboard toe shaper and remove it.

This is my 4th pair of Sofft shoes; I love them. I'm newly pregnant and was looking for some cute flats that would be kind to my feet so I went back to this brand and I am wholly satisfied. They are pretty and very comfortable, wearable with pants or skirts. I have other Sofft shoes in 8.5, but the review said this one fits slightly smaller so I got it in a 9. They were right, the 9 fits great, so I would recommend ordering a half size up.

I ordered a 9M, which is what I always wear, but this shoe was painfully short. Also, in the photos online I thought that the "Pewter" color looked like a medium steel gray, but in person the shoe is basically black. I was really hoping for gray flats to wear with my jeans. Still, the design is cute, so I'll try getting a 9.5 in red next time.

I wear these shoes for work. I am constantly running around, so these flats make a great alternative to wearing heels everday. It took a two wearings to properly break them in, but now I find them quite comfortable and cute.

I was looking for a good-looking, comfortable and supportive flat. Unfortunately, this shoe does not fulfill any of those qualities. I ordered a half size up and it was still too narrow and short. I love Sofft shoes, so I will definitely continue to buy them, just not this style.

I loved the look of this casual, low heel shoe. But, I tried 3 sizes with 3 kinds of widths with no luck. I was not happy to have to send all 3 back. I have a very narrow foot. But, the 10N was too long, the 9B too wide and 9N too short.

My job requires a lot of standing and after a foot surgery it was hard to find a shoe with good support that was also "dainty," and would last 9 or 10 hours. I really like these, for their look and comfort. They give a nod to ballet flats, but are way more comfortable after a day of work. The bow on the back is adorable too!

Had to return because of the fit. Had planned to wear these with my uniform at school:red and grey plaid pleated skirt - exactly the same tartan skirt that Sarah Jessica Parker wore at her girls school in GIRLS JUST WANNA HAVE FUN. Matched beautifully, but was too tight on sides of my foot.

This is a very attractive shoe, but the toe design stops a little too short for comfort. The shoe rim rubs on the bony part at the base of the big toe on both of my feet. I really wanted this shoe to fit, so I tried them on when they were first delivered, and then I tried them on again the next day (hoping I had just been in a picky mood...); but no, they really do not fit my feet well, so I'm returning them. I normally order medium width shoes since it seems to me that shoes have been getting wider. However, I DO have a C width foot, so I did order this shoe in the wide width and my normal size. Overall, the shoe fit my foot -- it seems that the design itself is the problem for me.

I bought these shoes to wear as a bridesmaid but haven't gotten to wear them because they do not fit properly. The heel area is so wide (on a narrow shoe) that I can't walk without the back of the shoe falling off at every step.

I wear these to work everyday (am ordering another pair!). They are stylish enough to wear with dresses and they are so comfortable! I get many compliments on the cute bow in the back. I have a knee problem so every dress shoe causes me pain, EXCEPT THESE! They also breathe well - having sweaty feet, this is important!! Best money I've ever spent!! Love these shoes!! I needed to get a half size larger - you might get away with true to size if you have short toes.

I've purchased several pairs of Soffts from this site and love them, but this shoe was too small and a bit stiff. I have a wide foot and usually get a super comfortable fit from this brand, but I wouldn't recommend this style for wide feet. Worth purchasing (try a half size up from normal) if you're not looking for a walk-all-day shoe. They might be a little stiff for that.

I am a true 9 and the shoe felt small, I orderd a 9.5 and it still felt too small - overall small, too tight & constricting.
I am not one to sacrifice comfort for style too much - a little bit but this shoe pushed it for me.

Great flat for work or to dress up a pair of jeans on the weekend. Slightly stiff as most patent leather tends to be, but cushioned footbed makes them comfortable. Cute lace up feature on heel.
