I hope I can break them in to fit my feet at the top.
I owned a pair of Sebago docksides years ago, and they were the most comfortable shoes I owned. I recently purchased another pair, assuming they would be the same as the ones I owned previously. The advertisement said that the insole goes from heel to toe. I was very disappointed when my longed-for deck shoes arrived and I discovered that the cushioned insole is 1/2 the length of the shoe. The edge of the insole rubs against the bottom of my foot and is very uncomfortable. I had to purchase a pair of insoles to insert into the shoe, in order to be able to wear them without discomfort. Now, me feet are not rubbed raw, but the shoes still aren't comfortable.
I walked all over San Francisco in my new pair of Sebago Docksiders. They are sooooo comfortable it's like wearing slippers. Other brands may look very similar but there is only one Sebago.
