I bought the shoe (originally in black) for comfort. When I wore the black shoes for several days I went on line and ordered the same shoe in tan and silver mist, because I couldn't find them in local stores. I have orthotics and these shoes allow me to place my inserts in the shoe without interferring with the wearing of the shoe-- my heel still fits comfortably inside the shoe heel. I am SOOO comfortable in these shoes that I wear one of the colors almost all the time -- work and casual. I am a surgical nurse and on my feet almost constantly. These shoes are the most comfortable I have ever worn. I clean them in the washer (cold water)--allowing them to air dry. I happily give professional referrals for these shoes and emphasize their comfort, durability and easy care. I recently purchased a white pair. I LOVE MY MERRILLs.

These are great weekend casual shoes, especially if I am going to be doing a lot of walking on city streets, like NYC. I can walk for miles and not have tired feet. I got this pair a half size larger so I can wear them with heavier winter socks.

Merrells are great, in general, and this shoe (and its predecessor, Primo Breeze) is by far my favorite! I own over a dozen pairs in a variety of colors and a couple of different fabrics (eg, Primo Hemp, Primo Vent, etc.).
The company doesn't recommend washing them in a machine, but I've been doing it for some time now and have never had a problem. (I started with gentle hand washing, but when you've got as many as I do......) And when it comes to white, that's key. I wear my whites frequently, yet still want them looking fresh & clean. I've never tried a spray-on water/dirt repellent as a way of keeping them looking white, but I should!
This pair is my second (or third?) pair of whites, but my first pair from a few years back still look fine. I like having a back-up if one pair is dirty. And, no, I'm not a nurse or doctor -- I just like wearing white! Merrell's rule!

For my arthritic feet, these shoes are my most comfortable and supportive. Easy to slip into but do not fall off my feet, making walking a safe and comfortable. Light weight and cool enough to wear in hot weather.

I've been an OR Nurse for 12 years and have always had to stand in place for up to 6 hours at a time. My feet always hurt after a 10 hour shift...sometmes I go home and cry because my feet hurt so bad. I just started at a new hospital and the nurses there recommend Merrells. After the first day, I noticed the difference!!! They are so comforable! I've had them for about 2 weeks now and my feet feel great. No more tears for me!

With acute arthritis in both feet, I find the removable insole a big help in installing my own, very expensive prescribed othotics.
I wear these during the day and am fairly comfprtable. Any tiring at the end of a day is not the fault of the shoes. Merrels are hard to beat if one wants compfort and support.

I'm on my feet most of the work day and have finally found a shoe that is comfortable all day long... and the footbed support has virtually eliminated the recurrent back pain from standing on concrete flooring.

I am a nursing instructor and these shoes are so comfortable to wear to the hospital with my students. I never have had any problems wearing these all day. I have several pair in different colors!
I have this shoe in every color except red because it is THE most
comfortable, stylish shoe available. (I would have worn it years ago.) It's so good looking that it appeals to any age. I'm a very active senior and wear custom orthotics.
I and several friends have a simple request. Please, please make
this shoe in BROWN to complete so many of our outfits. You have
thousands of seniors out here... an ever-growing source with expendable income, looking for comfort.
You have the technology and foresight to be a leader. You're ahead
of everyone. Take it to the next step and give us the same comfort
foodbed in a tiny, babydoll heel to wear with skirts, dresses, pantsuits. Styled up a notch without the rubber footbed visible (maybe polished to look like leather), the shoe would be a huge hit in
black, brown, navy.

I was so happy to find what I thought was a Merrell Encore Breeze
in brown at DSW in Yonkers, NY in January. I returned them as they
didn't have the contoured Merrell footbed and thus hurt when I walked. I'm not sure whether they were a "knockoff" or what, but
the color was perfect, and I was SO disappointed.

I must admit, working in retail for 15 years did me in. I once had a good friend who shared with me a secret...she said "Vanity feels no Pain". Well, was she WRONG..15 years and 5 foot operations later, I have finally realized the error of her quip, as well as my own foolishness.
My eldest daughter came to my rescue. She is a MD and showed me her vast selection (all the colors) of her shoes, which she wears in the OR and insisted that I order a pair immediately. How right she was. They are like a good friend, and I look forward to slipping them on!
Several more pair are in my future......Thanks for your pursuit of style as well of comfort....

I LOVE these shoes!! I have at least 9 pairs. I started ordering them a couple of years ago. I'm ordering my second pair of black. I have 6 or 7 colors. These are by far the most comfortable shoe, I've ever bought! They're wonderful. Even with a long dress, who's going to see your shoes? As far as a shorter dress? I've worn the newer ones, with a dress or skirt, yes. Awesome shoes!! All the Primo Breeze are. NOT, just the pro!! No way. I have them ALL. Only thing? Make sure, you take out the insert, wash seperate with the shoes on light wash in cold water, and let them both dry out. They look great, after being washed as well! These are the only shoes I wear now!! Best of luck to all of you. These are the best around, for all occasions! Thanks Sharon Kay

I bought these for my daughter who is a nurse. She is on her feet 12-14 hours a work day, plus has a small child at home. Her feet hurt constantly. After wearing them to work twice, she's already asking about other colors and more! The other nurses wanted to know where to get these shoes! thank you!

I work at the library so my feet need support. The podiatrist recommends Merrill's and I recommend the Breeze. Only minus I can say is I wear a 9.5 which are too big here and the 9.0 is a little snug but with thin socks are fine. Now I have 6 ladies at the library wearing Breeze's to work. [...]

I suffer from neuropathy in both feet because of my back. This shoe has afforded me the ability to walk long distances without pain or tiring and to participate in activities that were impossible for me. They are a strong, sturdy, comfortable, and a reliable shoe that lasts for years. I have even been able to wash them and have them look like new.
