There's a reason Merrell doesn't make this style anymore! While somewhat eco-friendly, the woven hemp upper just doesn't last. The leather "primo" line clogs last me a full year of daily 8 hours on my feet wear and this shoe didn't make it to 6 months before holes started appearing in the upper. I will buy Merrell again, but will be careful only to purchase leather.

I love meril products and the hemp clog is just one more of merrils products that I have.I like it so much I bought two pairs.

I essentially wear Merrells no matter what the occasion is except for formal dress. They are the ultimate in comfort. Depending on the model, keeping them clean is the hardest part.

Hard to find shoes that dont require animal death. Besides these are the most comfortable shoes ever. They look great too. On the downside, they dont last very well-I'm on my 4th pair-(but I like em so well I keep buying them). They dont tolerate getting wet. I ruined my first pair in a San Francisco rain storm. Great for getting through the security line at airports. Great for meditation conferences where you are forever removing shoes to enter a room and putting on again when you leave.
