PATAGONIA ARE GOOD SHOES, BUT...
This is my second Patagonia shoe though I've used their outwear for years. The first shoe was an Uluru which I really liked. Because of that, and the fact that the Dawn was on sale, I bought this one. I is quite good value for money, but is a bit of a disappointment.

QUITE NARROW
My main beef is that it is quite a narrow shoe. I don't have very wide feet and normally get a regular D, but this seems a bit narrower than usual. Not to the point I can't wear it, but wide feet beware. Perhaps because it is a little narrow, it feels a tad long too.

IFFY ON CONTRAST
I don't like the blue/white contrast as much as I thought I would--it's a little too sailboat preppy, but that's my fault for buying it.

WARM
I find the shoe to be a little warm in wearing. Of course, I did buy it in summer, but the leather is a bit too stifling for the climate right now. I have shelved wearing the shoe until Fall--I'm wearing my canvas-based Ulurus until then.

SUMMARY
I like the hemp-rubber soles and the styling is well-made and up-market Converse. Not a bad shoe and I hope it'll be more comfortable as the weather cools. I marginally recommend it for those with normal-to-narrow feet.

A very good buy from Patagonia, whose products are quite reliable. Extremely stylish and comfortable. Good support and you can't go wrong! I bought these for my husband and he loves them. I wish they came in a Narrow size, because I would wear them myself!

Patagonia's Dawn shoe is well-made and eco-friendly. The insole is actually the midsole which made me question the comfort, but all for not...it is comfy though don't expect it to be on the same level as other shoes that have a full midsole. The insole is removable to allow the shoe to be packed down for travel. The fit is true to size and I have found other Patagonia shoes to be consistent with regards to sizing. My only concern is durability as the outsole is thin and consists of rubber and hemp. Some of the hemp has worn away within the first week of wear.

This is a great shoe and I've received a lot of compliments while wearing them. They aren't the best for standing or walking all day, because they don't have much arch support. They are great for everyday wear, whether in the office, at home, or out shopping. The build quality is also great.
