I like this shoe a lot...but it was hard to break in with the heel. It was just too stiff initially It looks like it was sewn weirdly in that area. I used an orthotic and this helped me quite a bit. I now wear it everyday and love it.

I was drawn to the Keen Ventura because it was a stylish sneaker. It has the look of a casual tennis-shoe but with the Keen support and comfort you expect.
My husband and I now both own a pair of suede Keen Venturas - we really like them!

My only complaint about this hoe is that it is not right out of the box comfortable, in fact I had to maniulate the back of the shoe just so I could wear them. That usually doesn't happen with me and I was surprised! Other than that it is obvious they are excellent quality shoes and I've gotten many compliments on them.
Great shoe for a great price.

I like the syle of this shoe, like a Chuck Taylor only better. I like the natural rubber and latex foot bed and sole.

The sole is much more stiff and comfortable than a Converse Chuck Taylor. Not mushy. They also came with two different pair of shoe strings (1 Black on the shoe, and an extra white) so I thought that was a nice thought. A little tight on the back heel - I have to use a shoe horn to put them on. But they really hug your feet... so it's just a precise fit. I live in Portland so the wrap-around sole is really a bonus in the rain.

Cool black suede shoes. I have been looking for a pair of black shoes for gigging that are comfortable yet cool. I think I found them. They're hip but practical.

I love these shoes. I get compliments every time I wear 'em. I have worn them for long periods of time and the only pressure point or uncomfortable spot is it the top of the heal. Even that is minimal. I would and have recommended this shoe and website to friends.

I originally purchased these shoes as a casual shoe to wear with jeans. However, I soon realized that the soles were perfect for use on my sailboat. Most keen shoes have black soles with a tread pattern specific to walking. The soles on these shoes are perfect for boating. I am an active yacht racer and can say with little reservation that these shoes perform as well as any of my sailing shoes.

I bought Keen because of the brand's known quality and wearability. This style met all my requirements, but they are a bit heavy in weight, which is why I didn't give them 5 stars. They are great for kicking about town and for parties, but would not be good for hiking or long strenuous walks due to the weight. The suede version is great for the winter because they help keep my feet warm around the house and works well outside with light weight Smartwool socks. Would probably be a little hot for summer days in my area. I only buy Keen shoes due to my wider feet, and the brand hasn't dissappointed me yet!

This is a great shoe. I needed something that was comfortable and has some sort of style for daily use. Already a big Keen fan this shoe was spectacular. A little nervous because I could not find the shoe to try on locally I bought it in the blind. True to Keen this shoe is a full size small. I wear a 9.5 and bought a 10.5 and it?s a good fit. As comfortable as any Keen I own and I get comments all the time on what ?cool? shoes they are.

One of the shoes chafed at the heel until it was broken in. I own the canvas style as well and they didn't have this problem. Still I really like the shoe, it just took a few wearings to break them in. The shoes look great.
