I am an avid skater. I skate almost on a daily basis. I have always worn DC's, and I was needed a new pair. These shoes are simply amazing. They have great grip, are super comfortable, and my feet stay cool and dry. There are really no cons, aside from how easily they dirty, but that is expected with any pair of white shoes and aggressive use of them. I have recommended these shoes to my friends, because they really are an excellent pair of skateboard shoes.
