Awesome looks--strangers will stop you to give compliments! Like all Docs they start off a bit stiff, but stick with it and they break in well. Just give it some time. I wanted these for ages, and I'm thrilled with them! Lets me dress up, but still feel a bit rebellious.

I like this shoe. A little bit hard on the soles of your feet. Takes a while to break them in. All in all I would recommend it to a friend.

Dr. Martens are the only shoe for me. This unique design suits my personality well. They aren't for everyday use but are excellent for a night on the town. They pair the older saddle shoe styling with the durability and comfort that is standard with Dr Martins. I couldn't be happier with this purchase. Thank You

I've had these shoes since 1996, and I actually just kicked 'em off my feet after another full day of wearing them (walking all around Manhattan and Brooklyn, I might add). These shoes are so great--I've worn them with everything from jeans to yoga wear to formal dresses. No joke. They are SO comfortable and SO nice looking, yet not so fancy that they look weird with jeans & a tee shirt.

I have been buying this exact shoe every other year for about 25 years. I like the new Asian made Doc more than the British. The width seems roomier than the British version and the construction is nearly the same. the extra width is better for my big American feet.
Much more comfortable.

My fiance wears these supersweet docs for all occasions. Not only are they comfortable, but add an irresistable element to any outfit. We highly recommend them for anyone of any age! They last forever!

I bought these to replace a pair I have used for ten years. The old ones are still usable, but the soles are starting to wear down and some of the stiching is starting to break. The BEX sole on these is extremely comfortable and long wearing. I do think the old ones that were made in England had nicer leather, but these are still very nice.
Made in England or China?

I have this exact same style in the oiled brown and it is very comfortable. After reading some reviews from another site, I learned that people who bought this shoe had a difference of opinion depending on whether the shoe was made in England or China. Well, now I can say first hand that there is a difference. The brown ones (made in England) are much more comfortable as the leather is a little softer and more pliable. As these were a little too big I ordered a smaller size in the black/white ones but when I received them, they were identical in length and don't feel any smaller even though they are marked as such. The black/white ones are made in China. They are much stiffer and the quality of leather does not feel the same. I still love Doc Martins, love the thick sole, but I have to say, I'm a little disappointed with the changes in the construction and materials of this shoe. Order these with caution. Perhaps you can find out where YOUR pair is coming from before you buy.
