I am on my feet for long periods at a time during work and needed a shoe that would be both supportive and comfortable, while at the same time accommodating my wide foot. This shoe has done it all so far; the only other marker it needs to pass is the durability test (I have only had them for 2 weeks).

I own several different pairs of Merrell.I'll recommend that shoe company to ANYONE who spends a lot of time on their feet, or ,having Plantar Fasciitis("heel spurs",foot problems).All of the ones I own,Summit,Council,Piece,Sensation...have relieved me of my chronic foot pain/problems,except for TOPO,the one that's "designed" for working on your feet.
Fits poorly around the ankles,offering poor stability and causing discomfort from rubbing, creating akward foot position that causes added foot stress...what it's supposed to alleviate.
