What a disappointment! I own two other pair of Dunham size 9 2E that fit and feel great. I could hardly get these on my feet and when I did they were tight and hurt.

My podiatrist has been after me for sometime to get wider shoes than my current shoes (mostly well made Redwings). Although D width feels comfortable to me I have been trying to add shoes that are somewhat wider and 2E seems about right, at least in other brands. These Dunhams appear well made (despite my desire to avoid made in China) and rather handsome. The style is such that it can be used for both dress casual and more formal circumstances. Although living in the high dessert would not put too much value on being water resistant, it is still is better to have when needed feature. The design of the soles also appeared to give good traction in wet weather but also guaranteed squeaking on hard surfaces.Since my primary purpose in selecting these shoes were not met, I exchanged these shoes for some Rockports which appear truer to width and very comfortable. I bought the black shoes from my local shoe store last year. I really liked them. Decided to buy the brown pair on my last visit, only to find out my size was out of stock, and shoe style was discontinued.

Determined to find them, I came across this site and found them.
