I always love Dr Martens since I bought one 9 years ago. I love the style and comfort. The only obvious appearance from my original Dr Martens is the fading of the padded cups - it was tearing apart. Besides that, the sole didn't wear very much and the leather looks worn-out. If I didn't out grow this shoe, I would still be wearing it.

It seems that Dr Martens will last for a long time. It's my first choice or ever for business or casual. I've recently bought two 8053, black illusion and dark taupe color.

Dr Martens have changed their last since the last time I bought this shoe in the late 1990s: the fit is now slightly broader than a standard UK fitting, and the shoe feels less stable as a result. The materials in the lining seem to breathe less easily. The classic Air-Wair sole retains its character, however, providing a good combination of cushioning and firmness.
