I bought these for my grandson who is a freshman in college and he requested them for Xmas. I bought these in tan, they have kind of a pebble finish, and are great looking with a real thick sole. This is his second pair but in different finish and texture. If you are a college guy, these are a necessity. The looks are great and they wear like iron. He just loves them. I used to wear classic Doc's when I was alot younger back in the early 90's, but know I manage a restaurant and love the comfort and look of Doc's especially the saxon without the classic yellow stiching

Very, very comfortable, shoes, good for travel and casual wear. It has very classic look with great comfort. The only complaints is that it does not breath that well, one size larger would solve the problem.
