I bought this shoe for my husband who normally has been ordering a wide shoe, this was only available in Medium but since he probably wouldn't wear socks with it, he thought he would try it. He loves it and is glad we didn't get wide. So, the shoe may run on the wide side of medium but he is very happy with it.

may be a little tight on the instep if you have a high arch the first week or so..Once they are broken in they are very comfortable. The will stain fairly easily, so I recommend that you waterproof or stain proof the shoe...

Bought these for my hubby who is hard to fit as he has 13-narrow feet. But, the elastic on the sides of the tongue of the shoe fill the need for a narrow width. It's neither too tight nor too loose.

This was the first pair of Sperry Top-Siders I ever bought and I was completely disappointed. Not long after I purchased them a tear began to develop between the perforations toward the outside of the shoe. It eventually opened up and made its way midway across the top of the shoe.

I may give Sperry Top-Sider another chance, but I thought this was a really poor design. I can't see how the shoe made it into production. Perhaps they don't test them well. Perhaps they don't care. I don't know.
