I thought the topsiders would be more breathable than they are because they are canvas. They breathe OK, but not great, but you can slip them on and off easily. The soles aren't as thick as I'm used to on athletic or dress shoes, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. They are quite comfortable, and they look ok with jeans or khakis.

I got a set of these for both me and my son for Christmas as we are planning a vacation to the Keys in 2008. I figured - get them now, wear them occasionally so they will be broken in for the trip in April. These and a pair of Sandals will be all I bring! (for footwear) Well, they were such a hit that he wore them to a Christmas party and received rave reviews from his friends - people commented on them to me as well since I wore my pair. They are a bit snug if you have a wide foot and high arch like I do, but they are comfortable enough to wear from the git-go without much distress. By the end of the night I didn't notice any initial "tightness". Here's a tip to ease into these - wear socks to stretch these out a bit even if planning to wear them without - once they're broken in you won't wear anything else for comfort.

I was very surpirsed to see such a stylish version of a boat shoe. It works both as a casual shoe for the office or going out on the town. Extremely versatile in its uses and able to be worn with shorts , jeans or khakis.

No one will ever know you are wearing a boat shoe with this unique argyle print shoe. I wear them to the office or out on the town. I find them more supportive than normal boat shoes tend to be. Your imagination is your only limit to the possibilites of wearing this shoe. Jeans, shorts, khakis all work with them. As does a polo or button down shirt.

I wear these to the office when it rains , or the ground is wet because they do not look like boat shoes ( a major plus) and they are comfortable enough to run around all day long in ( which my job requires). They go great with khakis or shorts whihc makes them a versatile shoe and a stylish, fashinable alternative in the warm months.
