These shoes are extraordinarily comfortable right out of the box. They have highly useful features, such as: an easy to lace/undo three eyelet tie which includes a triangle/swivel top eyelet that allows you to adjust the laces just right to accommodate your own instep; a wedge rubber sole that provides maximum support and stability and promisies to be long-wearing. A carefully designed sole pattern that give excellent grip. I have a narrow, hard to fit foot and these shoes in the narrow width (which is hard to find) fit perfectly.

This is a great shoe. Looks great, holds up great and very comfortable. Best when broken in. Easy to slip on and go. Leather shoe strings difficult to keep tied until they're broken in well.

This is a good boat shoe, but it's rubber sole leaves it inferior to a leather-sole pair I bought five years ago and still have. Because of the stiff sole it takes about three days of use to break in. It is not available in many color accents. My five-year old favorite pair with leather soles has a green accent; I would dearly love to find a replacement for it.

These shoes replaced my expensive hand made ones and felt the same. Wore them out of the box on vacation and did not have any problems typical of new shoes. Excellent water repellancy and it appears that they have good finish durability.

I started wearing these when I sailed. They feel so great, I now wear them all the time. I live near a boating area and wearing this type of shoe is "trendy" to the people just moving into the area.
Only problem is find the for sale locally as some of the larger brand names are carried. I have been wearing these for years and they are great.
