I wear these for casual and everyday occasions and really like their looks (have been complimented on several occasions). I use them with an arch support and did not need to increase the shoe size in order to accommodate the support. They are comfortable and my feet don't feel hot by the end of the day. They do not offer as much shock absorption or comfort as Merrell's other footwear designed for hiking, walking, etc. which was disappointing, but that's because the soles seem to be of a more natural rubber that just doesn't absorb shock that well.

I've had these for two months and they are one comfortable shoe. My wife jokes that I wear them to bed.

Agreed they aren't for rough terrain, but I tested their limits up Mosaic Canyon in Death Valley and was pleased with their breathability, if not their cushioning on sharp rocks.

I'm back to buy a pair of the mid size. Woo hoo!

I wouldn't have picked these out for myself, but I received them as a gift, and find myself wearing them all the time. Comfortable and stylish. Looks a bit like a Sorrell boot, but more dressy. I like them a great deal.

This is a very comfortable and well made shoe. Not to mention stylish.
I have not worn another shoe since getting these.
I originally bought my correct size and had to return them for a half size smaller. The new size still seems large, in that the shoe is roomy... very comfortable. The width is wider than most other shoes as well. The reality is, these observations are exactly what makes the Merrill 'Barcelona' a superior shoe

Attractive, hip-looking shoe with all the Merrell comfort. Where the sides come up near the ankle bone they rubbed, but it loosened up and is fine now. Looking good.
