I wore these brand new to work where I'm on my feet a lot. The break-in period was very short, and I found them to be comfortable with soft leather and a nice cushy sole. Like most Doc's I own, they're a little on the heavy side but perfect for fall/winter. The color is a subdued red, not shiny--different but not loud. The only possible negative I've found is that as with most of my really well-built Doc's they're on the heavy side. Also, I'm wondering how the stitching will hold up as far as dirt and wear go, but I used a protective spray on them and hope that will help.

I wanted a pair of comfy, last forever, and yet fun boots. Just look what that sassy Dr. Marten had to offer.

How can a girl go wrong with red lace up boots with curly cue swirls and little skulls on them? You can't.

When worn with jeans, they look like cute chunky shoes, all the skulls are on the upper portion of the boot.

*Please note, these are boots and fit like boots. They have a wider foot base than you may be used to wearing. I didn't mark that they fit a 1/2 size bigger because I thought they fit "bootlike" rather than a full 1/2 size bigger.

I tried on my regular shoe size in a similar style and was happy with the fit when I got the boot.
