The boot is beautiful but I had to return them because it feel like I was wearing rain galoshes. My calves are slim but I do have some muscle. The top part had almost 1/2" between the boot and my leg. I could've pulled it off with pants but I wear a lot of skirts to work too. I'm heartbroken because they're so gorgeous.

I am on my feet a majority of the day, so there is some discomfort on the toes after 8 -10 hours of wear-time; they are, however, very comfortorable for just a few hours of wear. In bad weather, they definitely keep the feet warm and dry...legs are toasty, too!

Overall, I love Rockports, and I feel the end of the day discomfort is due to the heel height rather than the material design.

Unfortunately, I had to send these boots back. If you have thin calves, they won't work for you. They felt good and looked great, but the 14" calf size wouldn't work for me.

These boots are great to go from the office to happy hour to running errands around town. I love the look and the heel height is perfect. They look sexy but are not too high to walk in. Very comfortable! I'll be wearing these for years!
