These boots are exactly what I wanted! They look really cool and shiny. You could wear them with pants or skirts or whatever. Im on my feet for long periods of time at work and cannot take a heavy boot. These are nice and lightweight but seem to be well made. These are the second pair of Doc Martens I have purchased in the last six months. They do run a half size big so order accordingly ( I wear a 6 1/2 - 7 and ordered a size 4 UK) I think there will be little if any break-in time for these boots. I highly recommend them.

The boots are so cute and comfortable (if you get them in the correct size). I wear a size 10 shoe, and the 41s were huge on me. My calf is 13" and the boots were several inches too big. I felt like I was wearing my dad's shoes. But if you have a larger calf, they would be adorable. I would order at least 1/2 size smaller than you normally wear.

I’ve been really wanting some Docs, but didn’t want laces or anything too flashy – these are perfect! I got the black ones and I love that the sole is black also, not like on other Docs where the sole is tan. The buckles actually work, so if you wanted to tighten them or loosen them up, you can obtain a more custom fit around your leg. Every time I wear these I get many, many compliments both from women AND men. I walk a lot and these provide the stability I want in a boot - the soles are rubbery and super comfortable. You don’t make a sound when you walk. The only con would be they are a little wide on me, causing my ankle bones some discomfort where the leather bunches up, but I can definitely live with it. The leather is of a good quality, so they’ll take some time to break in. There is also slight goring at the top of the shaft to allow for larger sized calves, but it’s covered so if you don’t need it, it doesn’t show. I HIGHLY recommend this Docs. Wear them with skirts, skinny jeans, leggings, anything, - you will love them!

From the moment I saw these boots (in brown) online, I knew they were the Docs I wanted. I was a little concerned that the shaft circumference wouldn't fit my calves, but was blinded by the need to have them. Fortunately, when they arrived, they zipped up like a dream... with room to spare!!! These are very comfortable and are lighter feeling than traditional Docs. My only complaint (and I will live with it) is that after wearing them all day, the top of the shaft of each boot actually rubbed an angry red ring all the way around each of my calves. Easily remedied by wearing longer socks or tights with these until the leather softens a little. I've already received loads of compliments on them and can't help but stare at them adoringly for long periods of time. Hurrah!
