Despite the fact that i am lame for being almost 40 and only now getting my first pair of Docs, these are great boots - well worth the wait! I'm used to new shoes hurting something somewhere, but these are pretty comfy right off the bat - even with short socks on, they don't scratch my legs! I'm sure they'll get even better as i wear them more (finally i think the weather is cooling down!) The only slightly annoying thing is the buckles, which jingle like spurs when i walk. Since i don't plan to ever have the boots folded down and buckled, i will get out the bolt cutters and take care of the problem! Overall, very cool boots, even though they're not practical in airports these days!

I absolutely adore these boots! They were comfortable the very first time I put them on, and they are still comfortable today, but what else would you expect from a pair of Docs? - They're the best!

You could hike in these all day, and do it in comfort and style.
The bouncing soles are always a definite plus with these boots.

I recommend them highly.

The women's version of this boot does not have the strap around the ankle! The top folds down to reveal a plaid lining, and there is a buckle in the back to keep it folded down. And it has bigger eyelets at the top of the boot.
