The shoes are comfortable once there on, they are just a bit difficult to get on and off. I dont have a wide foot but could still use a little more room, thick socks are definitely out. Im having mine stretched to help, because they are way too cute to return!

The Cove style is identical to the La Jolla in comfort, just a bit different in style. I have two pairs of La Jolla and one pair of Cove and if it was cold enough all year round, these are probably all I would wear. Having 3 pairs allows me to have 3 different colors and ways to wear them. My dark brown smooth leather ones are geared more toward outdoor use, I'm not afraid to get them wet or dirty. The mid brown ones are smooth leather also, but kept more for office/travel. Then there are the light tan suede La Jolla's, these are my "special" boots that I won't wear anywhere they might get dirty. They are all so comfortable, I love them!

I wear them with a thin nylon clog stocking (just over toes) or ones that cover just over toes and heel. This gives a great fit. I have only had mine a few weeks, but I love them.

I love these boots! However do keep in mind they run about a half size smaller. I did read other reviews that mentioned this and ordered a half size larger and they are a perfect fit. I live in Ct. where the cold weather is already here and I can tell I will be living in these boots. I have many pairs boots that are too clunckey for in the house but these are not. I bought them in brown and the color is just as shown in the picture. I just may order another pair in black!

The design of this boot captivated me. It looks great under pants with the colorful embroidery peeking out. The line of stitching securing the footpad feels too lumpy for such a high quality product. The shape is slender looking - not chunky like you'd expect with a shearling boot. I sized up by a half and am glad I did. Overall I'm very happy; I will enjoy these well made boots for years.

I bought these boots in the midst of a snow storm and they arrived after the snow had melted. I have worn them once in the month since then. They are super-comfortable and sylish, but very VERY warm. This would be perfect for a climate with a cold winter, but perhaps not necessary here in the Mid-Atlantic, where winters are relatively mild. I'll be thankful for them on 5-7 cold, snowy days we'll have!

I first used this cove boot to visit the zoo at night. Cool weather and lots of walking. What I liked most was how they are cushioned at the sole, and kept my feet warm without ever feeling hot.
