I normally like Keen's stuff... I have their Newport sandals that I used for sailing, that are best thing going. I also have a couple of pairs of walking shoes that I used to travel all over New Zealand and Australia. I was hoping that these hiking boots would fit me as well and would be a replacement for some Zamberlan Baffins that I truly love but that are a little tight in the toe box. Although the finish on these boots is really great and they feel comfortable when you first put them on, the good stuff ends there for me. They do not breath very well and I found that my socks were damp and my feet hot after only a few miles in relatively cool weather. More importantly, the forward end of the boot feels too big and after several miles they felt sloppy... there didn't seem to be anything holding my foot in place except the heel. Maybe it's my weird feet, but these boots don't work for me.
