I've purchased 9 pairs of Ecco shoes in the past 10 years, and have come to rely upon this company of providing an unbeatable shoe/boot for my lifestyle. This is the first pair of Eccos that have not fulfilled my expectations. First of all, they run smaller than all of my other Ecco shoes and therefore need to return them for a larger size (if I elect to keep this style). Secondly, contrary to my previous experiences these shoes do not offer tons of comfort. The sole is quite thin and rigid, instead of thick and "cushy." Finally, while I like the styling of this boot the lack of arch support is amazing. Usually Eccos have a very nice arch support in the footbed and these seem to be lacking. Now, I'm contemplating returning them for just the correct size or possibly change styles within the Ecco line. I think I'll give the correct size a chance, but there's a possibility that I'll end up returning those when they arrive for a more comfortable Ecco boot.

Styling is great, the only short coming is the boot needs more padding and support inner sole. Sport inner sole was added for comfort and support. If the support issue was addressed Ecco would have an excellent and comfortable boot. Unless this is corrected, I would not recommend this particular boot.
