I have worn Dr. Martens for years. As soon as I put these boots on and took my first step I knew something was wrong. After some research I discovered that the soles on these boots are not the same as others. I recently purchased another pair that have the original bouncing sole. If you look at the pictures you can see that the inside of the sole has a cross hatch pattern were as the original has a graph like pattern. The graph like pattern are the original bouncing sole. I will be returning these. I would not recommend anyone that has worn Doc's for years buy these boots. If you are new to them then you will most likely not even notice.

I have owned Dr. Martins in the past and I have never had a pair as uncomfortable as these. There is absolutely no cusion inside this shoe and it feels like walking on boards with a soft underside. I will never buy these shoes again.

I have been wearing Doc Martins for over 20 years and they are, by far, my perferred choice amongst all others. They have outlasted all other brands I've tried and this particular style last me approxiately 2 years before I must replace them. They are my everyday use boots. I wear them on the Harley, working on the yard, climbing rocks, trudging through water, and just about anything else you can imagine.
