Great boot for when you want to be stylish and the weather is not perfect.
Ok, I waited 2 months to get a feel for these boots, and I have to say that I am now a loyal Timberland buyer. These are my new daily wearers, they go great with jeans, cords, or chinos.
These are by far the best pull-ons I've owned, and I've had many, they are comfortable, they don't stifle at all, and the support is spot on.
I've become a big boot fan, and I'm glad I added these to my lineup (I have the Taupe Suede model). They're great with jeans and could work for anything from bar-casual to slightly more formal. Very comfortable and appear to be well-made. There have been many comments about sizing, many feel they run large. I have 9.5/10 feet, and yes, they are roomy. I compared them to my other shoes and was surprised to see the sole length was almost identical to my other well-fitting shoes. The extra room must be attributable to the style and design of the upper. I decided to stay with size 10 (I don't like my shoes getting that stretched-out look) and have been very happy. One final note -- nubuck requires a little extra care and will gain "character" (scuffs, etc.) as you wear them. The appropriate brush works well to remove these, so don't freak the first time you rub a boot against something and see a large, deep abrasion. Nubuck is actually pretty tough. Also, plan to apply waterproofing once a year or so. For the price these are great.
