These are -- for sure -- the baddest kicks on the planet! Real "bad-boy" boots that already look well traveled! And from Frye, nontheless! These are the real deal, my friends -- not some trendy, "try-hard," "fake" boots. These are as authentic as you can get -- made in the USA, Frye boots!

Admittedly, the leather needs a bit of a break in -- to be expected with this high quality leather. I own a pair of the Frye Chesnut Belted Harness 12R (another amazing pair of boots, but "dressier"), and its leather was already butter soft straight out of the box. But these are fitting more and more incredibly as the hours go by.

They do run big, mind you -- Fryes usually do -- some say even a full size. But I get my true size since I have flat feet and have to insert an Arch Mold orthotic in the boot in order to get proper support. After that, the boot fits perfectly!

Have in mind that these are "real" boots, so they won't be "sneaker comfortable" -- they will take a little getting used to, if you're not already a boot person. But as far as boots go, these are on the comfortable side. They have a "rubber" sole, which I prefer over the wood/leather kind of other more "western" boots. And although the heel is a little tall -- two full inches, according to Frye -- it will make you "strut" when you walk!

As we all know, all humans have one foot slightly bigger than the other one, so my advice is to ... go for the "larger" size. I'd rather have one boot fit perfectly and the other a little big, than one boot fit perfectly and the other crammed and hurting in the long run. Trust me, I've been there and it's no fun!

Hope this helps anyone considering buying this awesome boot! This is one rockin' piece of footware!!

Wear them every day. They can be worn for most any occassion (not good for swiming) anywhere. They reflect the owner (me) and who and what I am. I don't even have to speak. Afer all, aren't first impressions important? I think that the second and third impression validates the first. So I wear them all the time. That works for me.

I have been trying to find the perfect Frye Harness boots for probably two years, but kept having to return them because of the narrowness in the toe box. After a visit to be fitted for running shoes, I decided to try a wider size...only Frye does not make a wide! So I ordered a men's boot instead and sized down from an 8.5-9 women's to a 7 men's and they are PERFECT! And this particular distressed antique color is more amazing than any color offered for women right now. My friend calls them my "killing someone in the Old West" boots. When I take them off at night they look like I have been out in a field all day instead of shopping in town. Now if Frye would make these with a fuzzy UGG insole to keep my feet warm I would be happy as a clam!

These boots are impressive. Very nice quality and comfortable right out of the box. I have other Frye boots that I love, but they needed some serious break-in time..NOT these! Boots look great with dark jeans and my khaki boot-cut chinos. Very happy with the purchase - quality, comfort and style make every cent worth it.
