I bought this boot after returning a similar, but cheaper pair of Dr. Martens boots. This pair is worth the extra [$]. In addition to being made in England and not just branded from england like the cheaper models, they have serious-quality leather uppers. I still don't have them broken in, but can tell they will be one of my favorite boots when they are. Quality is always worth paying for.

I left the good Dr. when the boot went to china and the quality went way down !! When I heard they were going to re-issue them from the original tooling I was skeptical.
I received them a week ago and I am impressed. It was a step back in time, to a better day, when quality counted.I hope they keep this up at least until I can get extra pair.

Well worth the extra money !!!
