I have only worn Docs for the last fifteen years. This is my first pair of fourteen eye and the first ones I have owned made in Thailand. Yes that's where there made. Honest opinion. I have had them on for the last three hours and they hurt like hell so I admit the quality is the same. Trust me, I would have sent them back if they did not cause a bit of pain for the first few days. The only thing I noticed was that the soles are about 1/4'th thinner than all my old UK Docs from 2003. I don't think the treads will last another five years like my last pair. I would expect to get at least 2-3 years with everyday wear.
