Wow!!!! I bought myself a pair of these puppies over 20 years ago and the shoes are still with me in high spirts. I purchased these for my husband whom wanted to know why I do not slip and slide on the ice! The gum type sole suction cups on the ice and provides wonderful secure footing. Roomy enough to wear wool socks, a must for our Alaska winter ice!
I bought a pair of Hush Puppies from onlineshoes 2 years ago and they lasted, and wore quite-well, right up to the time I chucked them out (reluctantly) and bought this new pair recently.
They are superior to the good old desert boots that were so good decades ago--but are no big deal (quality-wise) today. And, this really surprised me a lot: there is a similar shoe, at a higher price, that I used to wear regularly--well, they're history now, because I consider meself a "Hush Puppies guy" now because they are the better shoe of the two.
The shoes are particularly good with jeans, and a good pair of white athletic socks.
Hush Puppies are an exceptionally good shoe.

Many years ago Hush Puppy "Chukka" or "Desert Boots" (as they were called then) were nearly my exclusive footwear. I have looked for them locally off and on for the past few years without success and am pleased to see them in your inventory.
I was always impressed with their comfort and durability and certain to add another pair before too long.
I bought a pair of Hush Puppies, and a pair of Wallabies from onlineshoes the same day about 2 years ago. I expected the Wallabies to be noticeably better because of how exceptional they were in the 70s and 80s. Was I ever wrong!
The Hush Puppies were far, far more comfortable--the Wallabies have had a real dropoff in quality over the years, now being stiff, heavy, and never actually "breaking in" after six-+ months of wear.
I'm a great 'walking fan', and Hush Puppies are the # 1 casual walker if you want to get away from the quasi-track shoes that flood the market.
