No, I would not recommend this to a friend
This is a poorly designed bag. When you think you can shrink it a little as the description says, it doesn't work out well b/c the bottom goes up instead of the top going down. It's also bigger than I expected.
I like the black color though and the inside is nice. Quite comfortable also.
