No, I would not recommend this to a friend
I have many Hobo bags and love the micro fiber and their designs. This one is the new, smaller version of their brief case and doesn't make it. The old version has a wider, more comfortable strap, is a lot larger with many more pockets. It fit my laptop and lots of other stuff. The micro fiber does wear out and when I found I couldn't replace my favorite bag I was really unhappy. This new version is skimpy and doesn't meet my needs. I'll keep looking.
