Size, weight, pockets, comfort all good. As I used it, found that I missed one smaller outside pocket for keys or chapstick.

Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
I use this backpack for my daily commute. I only want to have to lug one bag, since I do a lot of walking. I'm short, so the small size fits me well and is very comfortable. It's too small if you have to carry a computer, but I can put my purse in the larger pocket and other stuff--newspaper, book, lunch, etc,--in the narrower pocket closer to my back. You couldn't put a large purse in it. A little bit bigger would probably be nice, but overall I really like this and have no regrets. Even my 20-something daughter thinks it looks good!
