Once I got the size right, this shoe was great from the start. It did not require a break-in period. It keeps my feet warm and toasty in the cold weather. It is stylish and looks much better than the white walking shoes.

I recently bought New Balance 811's in white & black. I wear them for work and they most comfortable shoes I have found. I want a brown suede pair to wear with jeans, but there are not many to choose from in this color. These are beautiful but too short.
I usually wear 8.5 B so will try a size 9 and hope they fit.

Great casual shoe, because it doesn't look like an athletic shoe, but you get the support, comfort and quality of New Balance. I have problems with my back and this shoe helps a lot. I do yoga/stretching/walking and this shoe is perfect and it looks good too!

These are light and look great, but I'll have to return for a step up in width. They aren't quite as wide in 6 1/2 D as my NB sneakers, which were comfy right out of the box.

The shoes are comfortable and practical for everyday wear. I wear them to work daily and they are perfect for the job! I had tried them on in an area store, so knew before ordering that that because the toe box seemed a little shallow, I needed a half size larger than normal. I am quite happy with the shoes.

I normally wear a wide width and have had no trouble with other New Balance shoes in D width, but this shoe in D width felt too tight even when I wasn't standing or walking on it. Maybe the leather will stretch with wear, but I had to return it. Other than a problem with the width, the shoe looks and feels like a quality shoe.

I purchased this shoe for "Lunch time" walking. I've purchased New Balance in the past and like the brand. But this one I would not recommend to my friends. There seemed to be no support. My feet, ankles and legs actually hurt when I wore these walking. They look great that much is for sure. I wear them casually, but not for serious walking.
