For the price it is a good shoe, but it does not have the comfort of the higher priced Rockport Prowalker World Tour Classic shoe. There is quite a difference in having your feet get tired much quicker. These shoes are made in Viet Nam, not in Mass..

“Happy feet make happy people” …is one of those axioms I heard as a kid, which has stuck with me throughout my lifetime. Truth is, there’s a lot of truth in that truism. If you’re a person who is on his feet most of the day, you know what I mean… there is no substitute for a comfortable pair of shoes. Heck… even if you’re not on your feet all day long you recognize the importance of wearing a good pair of shoes. It was back in 1985 when I purchased my first pair of Rockport shoes. I knew immediately this was a shoe I was going to like. Fast-forward to 2008, and I’d like to be able to tell you how many pairs of Rockport shoes my feet have known; but who keeps track of those things? I’ve had lots of Rockport’s but don’t presume it’s anywhere close to the Imelda Marcos magnitude. Just know that every pair of Rockport dress shoes, sneakers, loafers, boat shoes, sandals and pro-walkers (my favorite) have served my feet, in whatever capacity, very well. I look forward to the day when I’ll be able to buy my first pair of Rockport cowboy boots.Even though I respect a good comfortable shoe, lots of contempt builds up whenever I have to shop for shoes. I have never gotten a pair of shoes to fit as well as these. I generally just "give up" an buy something that is close to fit. I have trouble finding 13 xwide at stores. I told my wife i am finished buying shoes at the mall.

I chose this shoe as a work shoe since I am on my feet and on the go 10 hours a day. I make deliveries and I am inside and out, rain or shine, and must traverse everything from dirt, to gravel, to crumbling concrete. Another reason for choosing this shoe is because of the non-aggressive soles. Customers were constantly complaining about my other "off-road" traction shoes that carried in all sorts of girt, gravel, mud, and guck. These shoes wipe clean much nicer and quickly. The traditional "work" shoe was fine, but heavier, and not as supportive. This shoe is light enough to run all day. It also gives me good snug wrap-around support. Even though I use gel support cushions, this shoe has very good inner sole support. I would recomend it to anyone on their feet and active all day.

I have used this brand and model for many years. I keep one new pair for backup under the bed, one pair to go out in public, and one pair for work/yard stuff. When the work pair dies, the pairs move down the chain and I order a new backup pair.
