I know these are advertised as walking shoes, but they're ideal for everyday casual comfort. I have hard to fit feet, both long and wide. These fit beautifully, are lightweight, and give excellent support, particularly in the heel, where I need it due to a pronation problem. Keep up the good work, New Balance!

My first pair got soaking wet in a slushy snow storm and smelled terrible afterwards. I tried powders and insoles--no luck. I machine-washed them several times to no avail -- and yet they still fit well! I still wear them to work around the house. The smell seems to be coming from the inside material of the sole--like a bad chemical smell. No such problems with my second pair which are approaching their third year and still going, but are starting to look too worn for dress wear. I'm getting a third pair because I haven't found anything yet with the same look, feel, and durability.

The regular style NB shoe I normally buy no longer carries the color brown, so with relectance, I ordered these. What a "find!" They are wonderful. Very comfortable. I am a special needs teacher standing on my feet all day. These support me and give me the comfort I need to be able to stay focused on the children and not worrying about sore feet. I am a diabetic, too, and these shoes are just great, allowing my feet to breathe. From the bottom of my heart....thank you!

At first, I found the 811 very comfortable and lightweight. After a few one-hour walks, I developed a rub spot on the back of my heel. I realized this is due to the lack of heel collar padding. So I went back to using my NB576 which have exellent heel collar padding. I will try to make a foam pad and glue it in place so I can use the 811 shoes, which are lighter than the 576 and a little roomier in the toe box, too.

Since I fractured a vertebra in my back in 83" my feet have hurt.
My foot size chanced by 2 full sizes and became a narrower foot. When you can not walk because your feet hurt, you have to find a shoe that is comfortable and attractive to wear. Since I have to have a narrow shoe, this product, New Balance size 13AA, meets all of my requirements.
Thanks for being there to make my life better and easier to find a AA shoe for a man in a tennis shoe.

pros:I have worn this brand for several years. They wear well and support my big frame! Don't seem to loose their shape or support.
My local store didn't seem to run any sales; always seemed to be getting higher priced each time I bought a pair!! Online Shoes saved me a lot of money and they arrived quickly without special mailing!
cons:I thought my cats had a little too much "love" for me and one of my pairs smelled like, well, you know. But when I got a second pair extremely wet, they smelled even worse!!! I don't like that smell, (some probably do)!

How has New Balance gained the respect and reputation from the average joe so well?
I was talking to one of the guys I work with about upgrading my shoes. And right away he began explaining to me what a better shoe New Balance are compared to other highend gear.
Not knocking NB, but what is it that they have done so well to get so many people to like them? What are other companies not doing right? If other highend companies could get the average guy to love their products the same as NB has done, I would have great confidence in our hobby.
I know we all have different dollar amounts we can afford, but there is a lot of products in that same price range as NB and not one of the guys I work with could name a brand they like better.
Whatever marketing they have developed certainly works for them and gets people walking and Running (which is a good thing).
One thing is for sure, this is the first pr. of shoes, where I keep saying to my self….”Man these are a nice pr. How long they will last …..well get back to me in 6 months .
Over all recommended. On a scale of one to ten …I give them an 8.

My doctor told he to buy New Balance shoes because of Plantar Facitis. I have several pair now and have owned many in the past. I try to buy only products that are made in America and would really appreciate it if you could state below the shoe picture the ones that are made here in our great country. I know from the past that the 811 is American made so was delighted to see that you had them That is why I ordered two pair. I hope to find a small American Flag or at least a "Made in the USA" in the future designating which are made here, not outsourced. The foreign made shoes are not true to size. Thanks and keep me on your mailing list.Ernest A[@]

I use this shoe for everything because I love its comfort. Not only can I walk at a fast pace on a treadmill for 30-45 minutes in total comfort, I can wear them around town. Any time I am walking, these shoes give me an extended period of comfort where my feet do not feel tired or sore. I have owned several pairs of these shoes, and I wore this shoe's predecessor (MW810WT) for years before this upgraded shoe came out, so I can vouch for the great design of this shoe! It's a shoe you never have to "break-in" because it is comfortable from the moment you put them on.

I came back to New Balance Shoes for the fit, function, durability, and wearability. I wear the walking shoes every day to work and my feet feel good all day.. I workout in New Balance shoes in the afternoon and never have any feet problems.. I run Ultra Races in New Balance shoes(races longer than Marathon distance on trails) and New Balance performs great all day long.. I highly recommend them to my Cross Country team members since I coach High School Cross Country.. Great Shoes..

If you buy these on sale they are amazingly inexpensive for a good shoe. Very comfortable and seem to hold up well. Made in the USA is a plus.

I use this model strictly for work and have no problems with it. As always, NB's ability to fit wide sizes is very important. And thanks to OnLine Shoes [...], I don't have to shop retail. [...]

I stand on my feet 8-9 hours a day on dard concrete floors. This shoe has saved my bad knee and my back. Very comfortable.
