Great shoes for the narrow of foot. I walk 3 miles everyday on pavement and trails. Shoes dont pick up a lot of mud or rocks. It would be nice if they were made in a hiking type shoe, for more ankle support and for those slushy sloppy days. Im 62 years old and happily married, but still get hit on by women, because of the shoes, which is why I carry a walking stick. When I put on these shoes, its like walking barefooted in warm mud, with a handful of fresh made choclate chip cookies, in short, they make me feel good. [...] I have already ordered and recieived 2 other pair of shoes.

I have long feet, narrow feet, flat feet, so it is hard to find a shoe that really fits and gives good support. These shoes took a few weeks to break in, but the fit and comfort are great. The shoes are heavier than a running shoe, of course, but the stability is exceptional. I use them for casual wear and walking; for more vigorous exercise I use a running shoe.

I wear these shoes at work, and I work in a warehouse with flat, concrete floors. They are excellent, even though they are designed as a trail shoe. Exceptional stability, removable insole is a positive. Outstanding water-proofing.

When you first put these shoes on, your foot seems "encased" in a shell, and I wondered if this would lead to a "hot" shoe. It did not. Very good "breathability", which surprised me.

A definite step up for NB, and a great shoe for what I use it for. I did comment on the shoes weight for others that read this. It is a lot of shoe, but for me, weight of a shoe is a non-issue.

It is a great shoe for whatever you are wanting to do...casual work, walking, camping, hiking. It lasts well, has good traction, and looks good (you'll need a little brown shoe polish for the trim if you scuff it). I have purchased the same shoe twice, and my son's have like the shoe as well.

The only negative issue I've had with the shoe, and so have my sons, is that the inside grommet on the top inside portion of the left shoe sometimes adds a pressure to the foot. It is resolved by putting a small strip of cushion material on the portion of the tongue causing the irritation (it does not show where you need to place it).

Great shoe for everyday use as well as light hiking and mountain biking. Living in the Pacific Northwest with our wet weather, I have not found a better shoe than this. I use my older pair for mountain biking and it performs great in the mud and water that is part of riding in this area. Onlineshoes.com shipped immediately and I received the shoes faster than expected - great service!

ABSOLUTELY the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn - I just ordered my fourth and fifth pairs and I wear them every day. Great for light construction work, light hiking, light hunting. However, they are not waterproof as advertised - if you walk in wet grass your feet will get wet. Also, if you wear them every day they start to kind of stink (and I have never had a problem with foot odor). Solution: buy two pairs - at the sale price they are a great deal. Widths are not as wide as sizing indicates, i.e. "D" = med., "2E" = D, "4E" = E.

I still have a pair of 964s which I love. They're still wearaable (three-years old), but getting a bit ratty. I tried to find another pair, and was disappointed when I learned they had been discontinued, but the 965s are a fine replacement. I can only wear New Balance - it is the only shoe that eliminates my plantar faschietis (I have five pairs and just ordered a pair of 644s). It took me nearly 70 years to figure this out, but New Balance has opened up new vistas for me, allowing me to take comfortable walks on the beach several days a week with my dogs. I've become kind of a shoe nut...Online Shoes has saved my bacon more than once.

I keep three pairs of New Balance 965's-the newest pair for exercise and casual wear, a broken in pair for my 40 hour job, and the oldest pair for working in the garden and around the house. I have been buying this line of New Balance shoes for about 10 years, starting with the 961 and progressing through to the current model, and there are no real competitors in this niche. This shoe is good looking and comes in earth tones, it lasts as long as you want to wear it, and it comes in extra wide sizes. It's stabile enough for hiking or work, but comfortable enough for everyday street use. I will be buying this shoe as long it is available, or unless New Balance can come up with something even better!

I wanted another pair of this shoe but had been told it was discontinued. Got on the internet and found it. It is a very comfortable shoe. I had to buy a 1/2 size larger than I usually wear. A good all around shoe!!

A shoe made with quality materials that looks good. However, due to the position of the lace eyelets and short tongue when laces are tied they sometimes slip onto the top of ones foot instead of resting on the tongue.
